You Make Me Want To

02: Wild Card

Paisley made herself acquainted. She was chatting with a tall, broad shouldered, baby-faced kid and an orange haired man. The man was doing most of the talking. Well, out of the pair he was. Paisley was actually the one doing the most talking. Paisley and Addie were the same that way. They both never shut up. Addie came up beside Paisley with Tyler on her other side.

"Eaks, Val, this is my ex and good friend, Addie." Tyler introduced.

She shook hands with both of them. "I can see my best friend has already introduced herself." Addie teased Paisley.

"When a bunch of attractive guys walk in, I'm going to make myself known." Paisley stated.

Addie shook her head. But Paisley wasn't wrong. There was some whole cliche about how rich girls shouldn't introduce themselves but have themselves be approached. For what reason? Who exactly knew. All Addie knew was if she had followed such a rule, she wouldn't have met Tyler when she was six. Or any other guy she had talked to since then.

Tyler took Addie over to another group of guys. They all introduced themselves. She learned that their names were Jason, Trevor, and another Jason. She recognized the one to be Jason Spezza. She was a bit starstruck. Yeah, she was still able to get starstruck.

She spaced out and watched her best friend interact with a different pair of Stars. They had to be brothers. Both had broad shoulders and were tall. One had his hair gelled back and the other had a heavy beard. Both were attractive. Addie took time to look over Paisley. She didn't understand why her mom had freaked out earlier. Paisley looked amazing.

Paisley was gorgeous. On a normal day, her hair was pin straight, seeing as she was Asian. Her hair was also black, and she had some of the nicest eyebrows Addie had ever encountered, not that Addie didn't. She was shorter than Addie by four inches. She was curvy in the right ways. The dress and heels duo she had on was currently making her legs look longer than they really were.

Addie was white. As white as they come. She was English, Polish, and Italian on her mother's side. Not the Italian where they talked with their hands, although she did, and yelled a lot at family functions while eating pasta and making everything from scratch. That had kind of been calmed by the English side of her. That took over. She usually forgot she was Polish in the slightest. Her father was French and Irish. No accents. Just the pale skin to tell. She wasn't going into the percentages of what she was. She was, simply put, mayonnaise. Just white.

Asides from her pale skin, Addie had long, dark brown hair. Her eyes were brown as well. She had dimples and beauty marks across her face. The beauty marks were all across her body, truthfully. The hoop in her nose was the one thing that bothered her father more than anything else. She didn't care. It was a single piercing on her face. It could've been worse.

She was average height for a girl. About 5'6, and her body shape could only be described as athletic. She had muscular legs. Her calves were probably bigger than any of the athletes in this room. She was just as curvy as Paisley. Her body was well endowed as well. Her cleavage was always something out and about. And the curve of her ass was never ignored by any males.

She felt eyes on her and looked up. The gelled hair guy was looking her over. She took the liberty to do the same. Dressed well, everything fit right. Cute baby faced, big puppy dog eyes. That's when she realized they were staring at each other. She lifted the champagne glass she had acquired at some point to him with a nod. He did the same with whatever he was drinking. Hopefully not beer, she thought.

She turned to Tyler. "How long do you plan to stay here?" She questioned him.

"We're here until coach calls us back to the hotel." He explained.

"We're on a flight to Detroit tomorrow. Can't get too wild." Trevor informed her.

She growled. "You're all useless." She stomped off to Paisley's side. "Pais, we need to go get drunk."

Paisley furrowed her brows at her friend. "There's a paid bar here, Ad." She reminded her.

"No, I can't get drunk here. I'm an angel around my parents, remember." Addie huffed. "Please! It's our last night home and I need to go get smashed."

Paisley frowned. She turned and saw her parents chatting with people. They were rich as well. Addie never really knew how they made their money. She just knew that her and Paisley met when she first moved to Canada and she was glad they had. Paisley growled. She had an act to maintain in front of her parents too.

"Where are we going and how are we gonna get there? Neither of us drove here." Paisley crossed her arms.

"Probably our usual place and I don't know, a cab?" Addie suggested.

"I don't have cash on me." Paisley pretended to check her pockets.

"Fuck, me neither." Addie groaned, placing her hand on her forehead. She turned to the guys in front of them. "God, how rude of me." She shook her head at herself. "I'm Addison, or Addie. This is my parents', thing." She extended her hand.

"I'm Jordie Benn, this is my younger brother, Jamie." Beard spoke as he shook her hand.

She extended it to Jamie. "So you're the captain I can't get away from in Dallas." She teased as he shook her hand.

The corners of his eyes crinkled as he laughed. "I guess that's me." He said, a velvet like voice coming from within him.

Adorable voice. Adorable face. Big, adorable, puppy dog eyes. What was the catch? Was he a dick? Did he not have a dick? Was he gay? There was no way he would be the ultimate package. He was beautiful and dressed beautifully.

"You're from Dallas?" Jordie interrupted her thoughts.

"I live in Dallas, I'm from here." She smiled. "Well, Brampton, actually."

"Ah, so you grew up with Segs?" Jordie chuckled.

"We both did. He was something else." Paisley shook her head.

"Still is." Jamie mumbled as he sipped his drink.

Addie heard and laughed. Jamie looked at her over his glass. She was beaming up at her. He choked on his drink. He started coughing and Jordie patted his back. The look on Addie's face turned from a grin to concern. She was beautiful. He gave her a small smile as the coughing went away. She shook her head at him with a tight lipped grin.

"So you've met the brothers." Tyler called as he walked over to the four of them. "Hey, Paisley."

"Hi, Tyler." She cooed as he hugged her. "Thanks for finally acknowledging me."

"I'm sorry. You know you're my favourite, Pais." He grinned.

She shook her head. "You're lucky, Seguin." She pointed a finger at him.

"Lucky to have you in my life." He smirked.

She rolled her eyes. "Always so smooth."

"Anyways," Addie sang.

"How come we've never met before? Tyler didn't want to introduce us?" Jordie questioned his teammate.

"Definitely not. You guys would make me look bad." Tyler told them.

"Not as bad as you make yourself look." Addie tilted her head with a smile at him.

Tyler rolled his eyes and looked over his shoulder. "Daddy!" He called.

"Oh my god, please don't exclaim that at people in public." Paisley gasped.

"I'm just calling Jason over." He shook his head at her.

"Jason Spezza?" Addie asked, concerned.

"No, why would I call Jason Spezza 'Daddy'?" He furrowed his brows.

"Why would you call anyone 'Daddy'?" Jordie chimed in.

"I would call Jason Spezza 'Daddy'." Paisley shrugged.

"Oh god." Addie sighed, holding her head in her hands.

Not-Spezza Jason came over. The girls learned his name was Jason Demers and 'Daddy' was a nickname he earned when he played for San Jose. No one was too sure of the origin of it. Jordie, Tyler, Jason, and Paisley began to chat amongst each other. Jamie and Addie were both just quiet and didn't say much. They were both more listeners than anything when it came to discussions like such.

Jamie's phone beeped and he pulled it from his pocket. "Ah, shit." He mumbled as he looked at it.

"Everything alright?" Addie asked, turning to him.

He nodded. "Just my coach." He sighed. "Time to go boys. Round everyone up."

Tyler turned to Addie and pulled her into a hug. "Great seeing you, Adds. Don't be such a stranger." He told her as he hugged her tight.

"I won't be. We can get together some time this month, okay?" She suggested as the broke apart.

"Bring your hot friends and I'll bring my rich friends?" He teased.

"I don't think Paisley can handle that many guys." She smirked. Paisley really was her only friend. "It was really nice meeting you." She grinned at Jason Demers, shaking his hand.

"Oh, come on." He shook his head, pulling her into a hug. She laughed. "What Tyler said. We're a fun group of guys."

"I noticed!" She laughed again as she pulled away.

Jordie gave her a hug. "Also what they said, but swing by a game or something and the team can take you and Paisley out afterwards." He suggested as they broke apart.

"As long as you're not a Leafs fan." Jamie stated.

"Uh, I live in Dallas. I'm most definitely a Stars fan." She stated. Jamie smiled and shook her hand. "Thanks for the offer though. I'll pick up some tickets for Pais and I."

"I think Captain or myself, or Tyler, or any of the other guys could leave a couple at will call for you." Jordie pointed out. "Don't be weird. Just hug each other." He gestured to their handshake.

Jamie rolled his eyes before embracing Addie. She could tell his older brother was always pestering him to be more social. They pulled apart and smiled at each other. Addie thanked them for coming before going over to the rest of the players. She hugged the ones she was introduced to and shook hands with the ones she wasn't sure of. She waved to them as they left.

"Jamie undressed you with his eyes a solid eighteen times tonight." Paisley spoke with a smile.

"And you undressed about eighteen of them with your eyes." Addie stated.

"Can't blame a girl." Paisley shrugged. "Can we hang out with them in Dallas?"

"You can." Addie sighed as she played with a champagne glass.

"Addie!" Paisley cried.

"It's weird! I've slept with Tyler!" Addie defended.

"For fuck sakes, it's been how many years?" Paisley hissed.

"Five." Addie crossed her arms.

"Five years! Move on!" Paisley yelled before walking off.

Paisley was right. She was absolutely right. Addie was being dumb. She didn't actually care about her and Tyler's past. She was just being stubborn. She had so much going on in Dallas, she didn't have time for hanging out with hockey players. She knew what they were all like. Partying and sex. And she didn't want to be a part of that.

Her phone dinged. An Instagram notification. She checked it. She had been caught laughing with the Benns and Paisley as Tyler and Jason grinned and posed for a selfie. They both had wide, opened mouth smiles.

Nothing better than a Richardson Party to top off a Tdot trip!

Everyone in the photo was tagged. She liked the photo and read the comments. A lot of hateful things were being said about her and Paisley. What was new? Her Instagram was blowing up with follower requests. She declined all of them. She stopped when she recognized one of the names. Jamie had followed her. She accepted it and followed back.

"Addison, phone!" Her dad hollered.

She jumped, sliding it back into her purse. "Sorry!"
