It's a Girl's Game
Chapter 11
The season was going pretty well for Jamie. Besides losing a lot of people to injury and illness, the penguins were in pretty good position. In two days it was the rematch she was waiting for, a known rivalry in Europe. People may think that Sidney Crosby and Alex Ovechkin have a fierce rivalry, but they have never seen Jamie Jokinen play Ovechkin.
“Jamie, don’t do anything stupid,” Olli said coming up to her a couple hours before the game.
“No, I’m going to hurt him where it will the most, the scoreboard. He will never fight me, but I can make this game a living Hades for him and the rest of his Crapials team. Don’t worry Oll, I would never stoup as low as him,” she told Olli, think of the last time she played Ovechkin in the 2014 World Championships.
“Ok, don’t kill anyone,” he said laughing a little.
“I won’t unless Alexis decides to play dirty like he did in last year’s World’s,” Jamie said.
Jamie went into the clubhouse to find Letang, Fleury, Crosby, and Malkin talking a little more loudly than they should.
“So you mean Ovechkin tried to knock Jamie out of the game last time they played?” Sid asked, a little surprised Ovechkin would do something like that. Sure he isn’t the best team player, but he never seemed to be violent.
“Yes he took a couple of head shots at her,” Malkin told the guys.
“If he does anything like that, I’m going to show him my fist, whether he would like to or not,” Letang growled.
“Thanks for the support Tanger, but I can handle him fine on my own. If Alexis decides to play like he did in Worlds I’m going to show him why no one wants to fight me,” Jamie told the four guys.
“Well I wouldn’t want to be him,” Ehrhoff said.
“How do you know?” Flower asked.
“She was eighteen and Finland was playing Germany in Worlds. Germany was trying to get under the skin of Finland and I didn’t expect a eighteen year old to challenge me to fight, let alone be good at it,” he explained.
“So if she decided to fight him we shouldn’t interfere,” Sid summed up.
“Pretty much,” Ehrhoff said.
“But Alexis won’t fight because he doesn’t like to take responsibility for his actions. He’s a big baby who lets his teammates to the fighting for him,” Jamie said getting angrier.
“Leave it for the ice Jokinen,” Sid told her.
“Lets get going boys!” Jamie yelled, “ We got some Capitals beat!”

IT’S A HOCKEY NIGHT IN PITTSBURGH!
“Brooks Orpik and Matt Niskanen are back in Pittsburgh after signing Washington in the offseason. Mike Johnston put Sidney Crosby and Jamie Jokinen on the same line for tonight’s game hoping to get a little more offense out of the two.”
“I was talking to Jamie before the game and she said the Penguins need to move the puck more. That’s something they’ve struggled with. Also she sounded very excited to play against Alex Ovechkin tonight. She is ready for a rematch against him since they played against each other in the World Championships last season.”
“It’s the Washington Capitals verse the Pittsburgh Penguins.”
Love it so much
