Nashville Nights

Tris' POV

Well, the shifter's body started to fade from this world, which made me extremely happy. One less problem for me to deal with. I look over at my sister, and see that she has a minor wound on her arm. I go over to her and gently touch her arm. I let my powers take over, and made sure that she was healed.
"Sis, are you alright?" I asked her while I was healing her.
"Yep. Just remind me to never become WWE diva. Or, just say that I should become a trainer for them." She rubs her hand slightly.
"Will do. Stick to your job, Tina!" I laughed at her and looked around, realizing that time was still frozen. "Well, I might want to unfreeze time now?"
"A novel idea,Tris." I snapped my fingers, and that's when I heard Weber screaming like a little girl.
I turned to face him and said, "The monster is gone now! You don't need to scream for me!"
The captain of the Predators looked around at me, and looked at his brothers, and sighed out of pure relief, "Thanks Tris. Now, what happened to the monster?"
"Tis a long story, one you may not believe. You sure you want to hear it?" I looked around, and saw that the mall was crowded. And practically everyone was staring at their hometown heroes, the Nashville Predators. I whispered to Weber, "Maybe somewhere a little more private?"
A few minutes later, all of us were on the team bus. I got up and stood in the front of the bus, rather shaky, because I was finally able to feel the exhaustion of the battle hit me. I could only imagine how Tina felt. She must be exhausted, and as I looked for her, I saw that she was sleeping in the back of the bus.
Kay saw my exhaustion and asked, "Do you need anything right now, Tris?"
"Nope. I'll be fine." I took a deep breath and raised my voice, ever so slightly, "Okay, so the shifter is gone. For good. All of you were frozen in time while the shifter and I fought. I was about to lose, until my sister defied reality and broke free of the spell. The two of us took down the shifter. I kinda destroyed the creature outright. Hence, when the spell was broken by me, the shifter was gone, fading into oblivion."
Tina then said out of the blue, "And you can believe that." I looked at her, and saw that she was sleep talking. The team looked back at her, and I just started to laugh. My laughter woke her up.
I somehow walked back to her location, and said, "What are you dreaming about, ALF?"
She looked at me, "Well, I was dreaming about a SHIELD reunion. For good. And Reigns/Josi said, 'You can believe that.'"
I laughed at her and said, "You might want to have a vacation away from them. You've been here waaay too long!"
She yawned and said, "Maybe. Look, there's Bridgestone."
I went back to where I am supposed to be sitting, and sure enough, the bus was pulling up to what used to be a living nightmare for the players, but was once again, a peaceful place. I smiled at the sight and sound of peace. Kay then quietly said to me, "Well, now what?"
"Who knows what will happen next? Hopefully for me," I yawned, "A nice nap or something like that."
I stepped off of the bus and took a deep breath in and exhaled it out. For once, I had won the battle with help from my family. If only I would have realize that before I fell. Maybe, life could have been different for me.
I fished around for my keys to my car, but out of the corner of my eyes, I saw Kay holding them up.
Then again, maybe fate wanted me to be here. With this team, and reunited with my family. One phrase broke me out of my thoughts, and it was Kay: "I'm not letting you drive home that exhausted."
I smiled weakly at him and quietly said, "I surrender...for now."

Well...I can't believe this, but this mini story has almost come to a close. Wow! Thank you all for reading this story and sticking through it with me!
Next stop for our heroes...is for me to know...but it will be revealed..Next chapter: the epilogue. Along with a certain hockey team...
