Nashville Nights
Reunion
I hung up on the phone with Kay and decided to complete my task: find a new formal outfit. I walked over to Dressbarn to see if I can find the outfit. Put it this way, it was an epic fail. I hate dresses anyway, so why would I choose a dress for that outfit?
I then decided to window shop for the outfit. It took quite a few stores, but I finally discovered something comfy and me! All it took was a white t-shirt, a black business jacket, black pants, and some sick black shoes. I loved it!
So, I sat in the food court of Opry Mills with my purchases waiting for my family to show up and a cinnamon. My head was bothering me quite a bit now. My arms were sore from holding all of my bags. But, I could finally eat in peace. As soon as I took the first bite, I saw him.
No, not the Predators, but the man that was the shapeshifter. He was looking for me, I could tell, because he was scanning his eyes over every store where he would think I would be. I continued eating, attempting to blend in with the crowd. I saw that he was walking towards me and the table I was at. I held my breath...he's going to capture me again.
Funny thing is, he never even knew I was there, considering he walked right by me, but because not only did I shop for a new outfit, I decided to buy a completely brand new outfit. It actually did involve a white sundress, and cowboy boots. I had a blue and gold flower clipped into my hair.
The reason why I chose that outfit was because I wanted to make myself seem different without using my Grace. He wouldn't be able to recognize me in this outfit due to the fact that I was in my work outfit for the Predators.
I was so happy that he walked right me. So, to celebrate, I finished my treat. I decided to sit and wait for the team to show up. My plan was flawless, until I noticed that my hands were sticky from the cinnamon roll. I got up to go wash them, and did that task quite quickly. I was walking back to the table when I felt someone tap me on my shoulder.
"M'am, do you need help with your stuff?" It was the shapeshifter himself.
"No thank you sir, I can handle all of this." I smiled at him even thought I really wanted to run.
"You sure? You look awfully familiar..."
"No, I haven't seen you anywhere. Trust me. I am new here to Nashville."
He smiled at me and said, "Well, then, welcome to Music City! Maybe I could show you around some time."
I paused at trying to think of what to say, If I want to blend in, then I would say yeah. Maybe I can delay it a wee bit. "Sure! I would appreciate that!"
We then exchanged numbers quickly, then he said, "I have to go. I need to find someone very important to me."
"Okay...see you around then!" The shapeshifter then walked away, heading towards the Dressbarn store.
I sat down at my table, relieved that he didn't catch on to my act. I needed to have the team here quickly. I hoped that they would make it before time ran out with my act.
So, I pretended to be like any other teenager my age: I played on my phone and kept a close eye on shifter while doing so, waiting for my team to show up.
Notes
Well, this took a different path than I thought....but I have no regrets. None at all.
I will apologize for not updating for about two weeks! I have been soooo busy with dealing with family and other school work. I promise that I plan to update a little more often than two weeks.
How about the MLB All Star Game? Well, AL gets home field in the World Series...that's good for the Yankees. And Frazier is the home run champ! Yeah! And the hockey offseason seems like controlled chaos.
Also, I am planning on starting a one shot series on here and Wattpad! Feel free to send me requests, the door is open as of right now! Thanks for reading!
The link to the main story is https://www.wattpad.com/story/38285697. This may help explain some things.
Thank you so much for about 400 views! This is so awesome! Thank you thank you!
