Talking Bodies

Work at the dance studio went by quicker than usual and before I knew it, me Victoria and Karen sat in their apartment eating pizza and watching the Human Centipede.
Not a great combo.

‘’Turn it off! I can’t stand it anymore!’’ Karen buried her face in her hands, it looked like she was going to vomit and I can’t blame her, I feel like vomiting to.

‘’Yeah we should probably turn it off before we all share the same puking bucket.’’ Victoria said and quickly change the channel to Keeping up with the Kardashians aka Victoria's favorite program ever.

Karen disappeared into the kitchen to grab a glass of water. I felt my phone vibrating in my back pocket of my tight jeans so I picked it up.

‘’Wanna come over? - Tyler

‘’That would be a record since I left your house just this morning and we fucked last night.’’

‘’I like records, I have had a tough night and I need to let of some steam.’’ - Tyler

‘’Sorry, girls night.’’

‘’Ohh, pillow fight going on.’’ - Tyler. I rolled my eyes at his response and quickly typed in a response.

‘’No we just ate and watched the Human centipede, at the same time! Warning, do not do it! It’s creepy and disgusting.’’

‘’Yeah that’s not a stereotypical girls night.’’ - Tyler

‘’Nothing about me is stereotypical. Bye Ty.’’ I wrote back but never got a response so I put my phone back in my pocket.

‘’Is it Jamie you’re texting so intensely?’’ Karen had arrived back in the livingroom and I shook my head.

‘’No it’s Tyler I’m texting, he wanted me to come over but I told him no.’’ I said and Karen just sighed and turned her attention on the TV, I know she’s judging me in her head.

I felt a little desperate going to the bar by myself but I just have to get drunk tonight, with or without my friends. You have bad and good days in life and today I was having a bad one so I have to make it better, with lots of vodka. I went to the bar me and Victoria had gone to after her break up which means it’s also the bar where I met Tyler for the first time. Speaking of Tyler he hasn’t called for two weeks and neither has Jamie. Maybe that’s why I’m having a bad day, I’m craving them inside of me. I shook my thoughts away and swept the vodka red bull in front of me that I had just ordered. Victoria and Karen had other plans for tonight so they bailed at my night out idea when I brought it up this morning at work. I wasn’t surprised Karen couldn’t make it but I was a little disappointed that Victoria didn’t come out with me. I didn’t stop me though, I can have a good time on my own as well.

‘’Keep ‘em coming!’’ I yelled over the music and the good looking bartender smirked at me while pouring another one for me.

Limits. I have many boundaries and limits in my life, I know my limits. I know exactly how much I can drink but somehow I still managed to drink so much that I could barely stand up, and that’s not sexy at all. That did not keep boys away though since I felt someone grinding me from behind on the dance floor.

The music pounding through the bar made my head spin, or maybe the guy behind me actually spun me around, at this point I really couldn’t tell. I started to feel a bit sick and tried to push the guy away from me so I could run to the bathrooms. But he wouldn’t let me go so I got even more dizzy causing me to fall to the ground and everything turned black, I couldn’t even hear the music anymore.

The last thing I felt was two strong muscular arms around me that picked me up from the ground.

‘’Uhh…’’ I made sounds I only make when I’m in real bad shape. I could barely open my eyes and I could definitely not move my body. My head was pounding out of control but I could smell coffee and that caused me to fully open my eyes. Where the fuck am I?

I freaked out when I realized that I’m not at my own place and I’m not at Karen’s and Victoria’s apartment either. It took me a minute before I could figure out where I’m at. The huge bay window gave me a clue and I looked around the room. I always have a rush to get out of this room in the morning so that’s probably why I didn’t recognize it right away. But yeah, this is definitely Jamie Benn’s bedroom. God, how much did I drink last night? I have no memory of meeting Jamie last night what so ever. My thoughts were interrupted when Jamie stepped into the room, holding to cups of coffee.

‘’Life saver.’’ I said and sat up to grab one of the cups instantly taking a sip. Jamie chuckled at my comment and sat down beside me in the bed. He handed me aspirin which I swallowed down right away.

‘’So.. This is kind of embarrassing but I have a total blackout, I can’t remember anything from last night. When did we meet up?’’ I took another sip and looked into his warm brown eyes. He had a white tight t-shirt on with grey sweatpants, he could make anything look good.

‘’I saw you at the bar last night. I was there with some friends who are visiting me so I didn’t greet you right away because you were dancing with some dude. I kept an eye on you because I could see that you were really drunk. You tried to get out of the guy’s grip but he wouldn’t let you so that’s when I made my way over. As soon as I came up to you, you fainted so I picked you up and took you back to my place. I didn’t want to leave you there all alone and I couldn’t notice if you were there with friends or whatever.’’ He explained and took a sip of his coffee before looking back at me.

‘’I was there alone, so thanks for helping me. That was really irresponsible, even for me.’’

‘’Don’t stress out about it, we all have our moments.’’ He said and gave me an understanding look which I appreciated. Usually I can’t run out of here fast enough but it would feel rude when he helped me last night. I could at least finish my coffee.

‘’I picked out a t-shirt and sweatpants for you, you can change after your shower.’’ He said and pointed at a pile on his armchair.

‘’You're too nice for your own good Bennie.’’ I said and messed up his hair with my hand.

I finished my coffee and gave the cup to Jamie before I made my way to the bathroom with the clothes Jamie had picked out for me. A warm shower felt really nice but I didn’t want to shower to long so I just washed off before I got dressed. To big clothes is better than a slutty dress from last night I guess, I thought to myself when I looked at myself in the mirror.

I ran downstairs to find Jamie so I could say good bye to him, it’s time for me to leave. He stood in the hall already with my clothes from last night in a bag. He dropped the bag to the floor and walked over to me. I didn’t know what he wanted but all of the sudden he kissed me and picked me up and I locked my legs around his waist when he pressed me against the wall. My lips were locked with his and I wouldn't want it any other way.

"I want to ask you something.." He broke our kiss and I sighed, trying to kiss him so he wouldn't talk.

"Come on I just want to ask you one question." He kept pushing it and I just rolled my eyes.

"No you don't, you're killing the mood." I jumped down from his grip and stood up normally again.

"Eat dinner with me." He said looking at me with an intense gaze. I felt it coming but it didn't make me feel less shocked.

"What..?" I stammered trying to buy time so I could make up some stupid excuse, like I'm allergic to food or something.

"Let me take you out, for dinner. You eat I hope." He chuckled and poked my stomach.

I didn't smile, I didn't laugh. This wasn't funny to me, not at all.

"Benn.. I can't. Honesty I don't eat with boys I have sex with, it's a rule." I explained and he raised he's eyebrows looking at me like I'm crazy.

"It's just food Sarah." For a second there I couldn't relate to the name he called me, but I quickly remembered that's my fake name I told Jamie when we first met.

"It's not just food, it's never just food. Let's not make this complicated shall we?" I placed my light hand on his hard chest, feeling his heart pounding in a calm pace.

"We have been doing this for a long time now."

"Yes we have, so let's not ruin it." He sighed at my words but agreed to let it go.

"Let's move this to bed." He said and tried to carry me but I stopped him.

"Dude, you have already killed the mood. I should go, but thank you for helping me last night. Call me someday, if you need to let out some steam in the bedroom. But if you need a dining buddy, keep looking Jamie." I said and gave him a huge before I made my way out from his house. But I quickly realized that my car isn't here and so did Jamie because he came outside with his car keys in his right hand.

"Need a ride sunshine?" He said with irony in his voice quickly followed by a small chuckle. I'm guessing he's giving me an attitude because of what I just told him.

"Shut up and drive me home Bennie." I gave him a small smile and then we walked to his car and hopped in.

"I have never been at your place before, so you have to put your address in the GPS otherwise I will never find it." He said and pointed at the small black device. I did what he asked for and then we started driving away.

The car ride was a quiet one but it was a nice silence, not an awkward one. You don't need to talk all the time, sometimes silence can be a good thing. Human beings are so obsessed with the term small talk, but it's so unnecessary. If you want to say something, say it but it's stupid to speak just to avoid your surroundings to turn silent.

"Hey, deep thinker over there! Do you need me to follow you in?" Jamie spoke and that's when I realized that the car had stopped, in front of my apartment building.

"Thanks but I should manage to be able to take the elevator up to my apartment by myself." I chucked and opened the car door.

"Whatever you say, I'll call you!" I closed the door and turned around facing my building instead of Jamie's car.

"Oh, I know you will." I murmured to myself and walked inside the building.
