With the "Enemy"

Takes Guts Girl

Sidney got back to the hotel the Penguins were staying at not in a good mood at all. Not only did he blow the only chance he had to ask Jackie on a real date, but a couple Bruins players had to come and ruin it. "What wrong?" Geno asked seeing his upset teammate. "She doesn't like me," Sid muttered. "Huh?" "She left, some Bruins showed up and she left!" Sid cried, "You said she liked me!" "Jackie did." "Then what happened?" Sid asked. "Do not know," "I wish I did," Sid muttered. That was the last thought Sid had on the night. He didn't know what happened, he really thought Jackie liked him back. He must have been wrong, or something changed her mind after they met. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Last night, I got served, a little bit too much of that poison baby Last night, I did things I'm not proud of, and I got a little crazy Last night, I met a guy on the dance floor, and I let him call me 'baby' And I don't even know his last name My momma would be so ashamed It started out "hey cutie, where you from?" Then it turned into "oh no! what have I done?" And I don't even know his last name He left, the club, about around three o'clock in the morning His Pinto, is sitting there in the parking lot, when it should've been a warning I had no clue, what I was getting into, so I blame it on the Cuervo Oh where did my manners go Carrie Underwood's song Last Name was blaring through Jackie's apartment. Jackie couldn't believe what just happened. Of course they had to come and ruin it! It seemed they ruined everything she has planned. On the bright side Jackie found out Sid didn't really like her. Geno probably just said that to keep her mind off of him. Now she knew her feelings about Sid, well they became much clearer. Jackie no longer had to fight whether she loved Steve or Sid. Her feeling for Sid died that night and Jackie knew what she had to do. Jackie turned off her music and picked up her phone from its place on her kitchen counter. She stared at it for a good minute before going to contacts. The name she was going for was not his actual name. Jackie was going to call the person she now knew she loved: Steve Mason. After she found his name she then stared at it for another minute before hitting the call button. It rang three times before Steve picked up; "Jackie, what's wrong?" "Nothing. So, the Flyers are in Boston next week," Jackie said, beating around what she wanted to say. "Jack, I know the schedule of my own team, Why did you call?" he asked her. "Um, do you maybe want to meet up somewhere. I'm not going to be anywhere besides work," Jackie told him nervously. "That sounds great, I'd love to. Where?" Steve asked her. "Um that one place, what's it called?" Jackie trailed off. "I don't know Jack, you're the one who thought of it," Steve laughed. "Oh! Mike's City Diner. Wanna meet there?" she asked. "Sure, um where is that?" "Look up, meet after you guys leave TD Gardens? I can meet you there and we can walk there," Jackie offered. "Sounds good, see you then Jackie," Steve said. "See you then Mase," Jackie said hanging up the phone. Jackie could not believe she basically just asked Steve on a date. It didn't seem real and Jackie didn't believe at first and called the one person she could trust, and no, It was Tuukka. "Hill, I'm freaking out!" Jackie yelled when Hilary answered her phone. "Why?" "I just asked Steve Mason out on a second date!" "I thought you liked Crosby?" she asked. "That was a bust, he doesn't like me back." Jackie said. "Oh, sorry about that," Hilary said. "Forget about him," Jackie brushed off, "I am going on a second date that I asked the guy on!" "Great job Jack," Hilary said, not knowing what to say. "That's it?" "Fine," Hilary said, "That takes a lot of guts girl." "Bye Hilary, see you at practice," Jackie said, hanging up before Hilary could reply. Next week was going to be great in Jackie's mind. She just hopes she's right.
