Another Day in Nashville

"Hey, em. It's been a while." Ethan said

"Yeah. It has." I felt tears welling up in my eyes

"You're getting married?"

I sighed "I am. Are you going to yell at me too?"

"No, Emilee. It's your life. I'm just upset I haven't met this guy." He laughed "I mean how am I supposed to know he's good enough for my sister?"

"James is great. You can always visit us here in Nashville." I replied smiling over at James, who had apparently fell asleep. I shook my head and carefully got out of bed heading to the living room

"He's a hockey player?"

"Yeah. He's amazing. He's so sweet and funny. I think you'll like him."

"I hear Erika is mad?"

"Yeah. She met him."

"She's mad he isn't Mormon?"

"Yeah. He's Catholic. He also has tattoos."

"Is that all? She was acting like he was nuts or something."

"Yeah I know how she is."

"As long as he treats you right and takes care of you, I'm happy, em."

"Thanks Ethan. That's all I want."

"I love you. I'll call you, okay?"

"Okay. Love you." I replied hanging up. I headed back to the bedroom and got back in bed. I kissed James' cheek and turned off the light, falling asleep.
