San Jose Mischief

Traveling

Tris' POV

The Nashville Predators has just won a huge game against the Jets. Put it this way, I watched the game between my fingers, because I saw my best friend, Kay Robertson, get checked really hard by a guy with the last name of Roman. Roman ran into me after the game....and I think he learned to not mess with me in my house.

Anyhow, we are all on our way to our next location, San Jose California! I was soooo excited to finally see the city, and to maybe catch some much need rest and relaxation. And I can finally catch up with my sister again. We have an off day tomorrow, so I booked the flight tonight. That way, the guys-and me- could adjust to the city and the time change.

We made it to the airport about an hour after my run in with Roman. I go to grab my luggage off of the team bus, and my friend, Kay, playfully swats my hand away, saying, "I'll get your luggage for you, Tris."

"I can handle my luggage. Trust me, I am not going to kill myself by carrying my one suitcase of stuff. Thank you for offering." I tried taking my luggage out of his hands. I completely neglected that he is a hockey player, while I am a mear secretary. The team just stopped and started to either chant, "Robertson!" Or, in my case with my sister, "Thompson!"

My phone started ringing, and I had to let go of my bags to answer it. I dropped it, and I heard Kay say, "One for me, a million for you."

I walked away from the group and picked up my phone, and politely said, "Hello?"

"Emilyanne? It's Cassie, calling from Dean's phone." I recognized Castiel's voice over the phone.

"Why hello, Cass! What's happening? Remind me to program this number into my phone eventually."

I heard Dean say, "First of all, congrats on the win over the Jets."

"Thank you. Didn't know y'all we're hockey fans."

Dean laughed, "We watch it to keep an eye on our pain in the ass Angel friend. Anyhow, you're traveling to San Jose next, right?"

"Yeah. What's going on?" I walked towards Kay, with my luggage. He was marching to the plane. Perks of being a hockey player or worker: No dealing with TSA.

Sam said, "We're in San Jose. Weird stuff has been happening around the local NHL team."

"Of course, just my luck. Define weird."

Dean blurted out, "Landshark weird. Snuck into the SAP Center, and the MO of the victim was that he died because of a shark attack. Even thought he wasn't anywhere near water. He was at the center to go root on the Sharks."

I walked onto the plane, and I noticed that I was the last one on. I continued on with my conversation with Team Freewill, "And authorities had no clue? No one saw the dude getting eaten alive?"

"Nope. We will meet you as soon as possible. We'll investigate a little more, and catch you up when you are here."

I looked around the plane and saw that everyone was staring at me, "Thanks guys. I think the team was getting impatient with me. Bye!" I then hung up the phone and sat down next to my sister, Kristina.

I shouted to the team, "Sorry about that! A special circumstance came up!" The team laughed at me. I looked to the row right next to me and I saw Kay, and he was about to fall asleep.

I quickly poked him on the arm and he kinda mumbled, "I didn't do it. Tina did it."

I giggled and said to him, "No, I'm not accusing you of anything." He opened his eyes and looked at me, while I continued, "I wanted to say thank you for grabbing my bags. I had to take the phone call."

"No problem, Shannon. Anyhow, what was that call about?"

"Uh...special circumstance?" I hoped he believed me. Over the past few days, Kay has been my caretaker. He noticed my limp before anyone else. As a result, he practically did the majority of my daily tasks for me. I didn't mind the help, but I hated relying on other people.

"That's fine....just let me sleep." Kay then closed his eyes and promptly fell asleep. I giggled at his response and grabbed my music device, put it on airplane mode, and started to listen to Fly, by Maddie and Tae.

Just as the song was about to end, I felt my sister rip out my earbuds, and she started rambling, "Hey, I'm writing a story about the Authority and how our group of friends destroys them. They are on an airplane, and I kinda wrote a song to describe the flight. It's a parody of the Road Song. It's called the Sky Song. Do you mind helping out a writer down on her luck?"

I responded, "Sure. Can you read me a bit before the song?"

She starts reading, "They all nodded and smiled after explaining how their first night with the Authority went. So, I said, 'Maybe we just sing the Sky Song.'"

Tina leans over to me and I start singing, 'Sky, Sky Sky, Sky.'

I keep doing that as she sings, ' When I'm in the Sky, I see stuff flying by. When I'm in the Sky....'

I blurted out as loud as I could, ' I got peanut dust in my eye!' I go back to chanting 'Sky, Sky, Sky.'

Tina sings, 'When I'm in the Sky, It looks clear all around! When I'm in the Sky....'

I poke Kay's head, and he mumbles, 'Please stop touching my head.'

I pick up the pace on Sky while Tina claps her hands and sings, 'Let's all sing the sky song! We want to sing it all day long! Let's all sing the sky song! Let's all sing......along!'

I finished up my part with one long 'Skyyyyyyy.' Once I finished, the two of us started laughing. Some of the players heard us and somehow, the players made us sing it again. They recorded it on phones, IPods, and whatever else they could find. Of course, I had to poke Kay again, and he said his line.

Once Tina and I finished a second time, Kay shot up out of his chair and yelled, "What is going on here?"

I said to him and the team, "Does anyone else know some good sky songs?" The team started to laugh at him and clap for my sister and I.

I just hoped that things could stay this light in San Jose. For now, I'll enjoy the happy environment.

Notes

I'm back, and I finally came up with ideas for this story! But, I need to give three HUGE shout outs to people!

First of all, I would like to thank the person who came up with the Sky Song, @WaywardSon1143! She gave me permission for using this song! Thank you for being my inspiration for Kristina and letting me use your song! Check out her story Kidnapped Rebels on Wattpad under the username @WaywardSon10!

Second, thank you to @AShruinger for suggesting San Jose as the next location! I am so excited to be working on this story for your favorite team, the Sharks! Let me know if you have any suggestions or any major locations in San Jose!

And last, but not least, to all of the readers of Nashville Nights! 950 views is more than I ever thought possible! I cannot thank each and everyone of you enough! I hope all of you have a wonderful 2016!

Next up is what will happen when they land in San Jose. Will Kay flip on Kristina and Tris for the Sky Song? Stayed tuned to find out more.

Also, in case any of you, the readers, were wondering, the Sky Song is based off of Spongebob Squarepants' Road Song. I would recommend to listen to that while reading the Sky Song.
