Four Years Later (Squeal to My New Life)

Mike finally got home after staying 48 hours in DC. Everyone knew that he had a concussion from the hot he took from his former team. It’s been a two weeks since what happen and James hasn’t talked to Rebecca from what happen in the kitchen. After a big win from the Rangers then Penguins are now have to fly to Philly to play against the Flyers. Sid gave Kaley and kiss on the cheek. A goodbye kiss for Rebecca and Rebecca was hoping that James would just give up and say goodbye. The look on James face was that he was still pissed from what Rebecca said to him that morning.
“I will see you in guys in a couple of days.” Sid broke Rebecca focus on James.
“We’ll be home waiting for you.”

On the plan ride back home from beating the Flyers 5-1 with James getting a hat trick was the cherry on top. Sid was trying to get a hold of Rebecca but she hasn’t answers any of her calls at all. He tried texting her and calling her but nothing is working. When the plan landed, Sid jumped out of his seat and ran to his car.
“Sid, where’s the fire?” Kuni asks.
“Rebecca is not answering her phone. I need to see if she’s alright.” When he sees his house, there was a car park on his driveway. It was Mike’s car. Sid knows the ins and outs of concussion and he knows that he can’t drive at all if he still has one. Opening the door and Sid could hear people’s voices coming out of the living room. He walked closer to the living room. Mike and Rebecca were sitting on the same couch with Mike’s arm behind the couch. Rebecca looked up to see Sid and when she saw Sid her look change from being happy into worried.
“Sid, what’s wrong?” Sid fished out his phone and showed it to her.
“Do you know where yours is at? I have been trying to calling and texting you since the game was over.”
“I think I left my phone in Kaley’s room after I packed a overnight bag for her.”
“A over night bag?” Rebecca went to Kaley’s room and grab her phone, looking at her screen of how many time he called her.
“Yeah, um Kaley wanted to spend the night over at Flower’s house. I was going to stay over there because I didn’t know when you will be home but Mike called me saying that he’s head feels a lot better. He didn’t want to watch the game by himself. So I invited him over and so he could spend time with Kaley before she headed over to Flowers. Mike got up from the couch and put his phone back into his pocket.
“Well I better get going, I have to stake in the morning to see if my head is back to normal.”
“I’ll walked you to your car.” Sid offered. When Mike and Sid got to his car. Mike turned around. Now Mike is a little taller than Sid so Mike had to look down at Sid.
“Dude, what is your problem?”
“My problem is that I don’t want you to hang around Rebecca when I am not around. I don’t trust you at all. I don’t want you around her anymore.”
“Well that would be a little hard to do that when she asks me to come to her store opening and also Kaley loves me like a real uncle. Beside I know that James hasn’t been a real good uncle to Kaley.” Sid had enough with everyone picking on James. Sid slam Mike at his car.
“Sid!” Rebecca running to where the guys are at.
“Sid, where’s your head. Mike has a concussion.”
“I don’t care at all Rebecca I don’t trust him at all.”
“Why because I used to dated him? Or that he’s on your team?”
“Well both !” Sid scream at both of them. Rebecca was trying to get Sid away from mike before more harm to do on both of them. Then all of a sudden Rebecca fell on to her knees. There was something wrong with Rebecca but she didn’t know what. Sid watch her go down to the ground. All of the anger that Sid had on Mike went away when the mother of her child in on the ground.
“Rebecca?! Honey, are you alright?” When she grabbed her hand she was hot at the touch. She didn’t replay back to Sid.
“We need to take her to the ER now.” Mike just nodded his head and he open the door for Sid to put Rebecca in the back seat.
“Here let me drive since I know the roads better than you.” Mike didn’t want to start another argument with Sid. So he went to the back seat and put Rebecca’s head on his lap.

Mike and Sid were in the waiting room they didn’t look at each other or speak. There was still a little tension in the air from what happen an hour ago. Sid text Marc and James of what’s going on. Sid knows what’s going on between James and Rebecca but I think he needs to know what’s going on to his baby sister.

“Why were you at my house?”
“I was getting lonely and the only person that likes me and that’s isn’t 5 years old. That would be Rebecca. Why don’t you trust me?” Sid was trying to put the right word together to form a right answer.
“Is it because I’m her ex, slept with her on New Years Eve and I had 50% that Kaley would have been my daughter.” Sid looked at Mike and Sid didn’t say anything because his face was showing him everything.
“Yes.”
“I’m sorry but to tell you the truth I am happy for Rebecca. That’s the only thing right now is not making me going crazy from this trade. I though in a million years that the team that draft me and said that you are going to be with the Capitals for your whole career then after the first game of the season they trade me. I mean how stupid can that team be? Being Kaley’s uncle makes me think that I can have a family on my own. If you don’t want me to not talk to Rebecca without in the room or not at all. I would do that for you but I can’t do that for Kaley. i know that Kaley loves me and has her finger wrapped around me so bad.
“Your right I’m sorry. I just don’t know when I will get that image of Rebecca will leave me again with Kaley.”
“Trust me, the look that I saw when Rebecca told me about you taking of Kaley when she’s trying to get her store to open. I remember that look when she told me that she loved me.” Then the doctor came to the guys.
“Rebecca has an ulcer, good time because we caught it in time before it will do more damage to her stomach.”
“How long till she will be back to normal?”
“Maybe a week or two.” The doctor took them to her room. She was still sleeping. When Sid saw her sleeping he remember in the kitchen when Rebecca told them that she looks like Sid when she sleep. She has to be wrong on this one because she looks just like Kaley sleeping right now. Both Sid and Mike sat on the other sides of the bed. They were watching TV with the volume down low.
“Sorry I didn’t tell you that I was coming over to your place tonight.”
“No your fine, I shouldn’t jumped before I look.” In the morning both of the guys fell asleep on their chairs. Rebecca was finally waking up. It awoke Sid up to.
“Rebecca?” Sid’s morning voice was heavy. Rebecca’s eyes were blinking really fast and trying to figure out where’s she at.
“Your at the hospital, you pass out on the driveway.”
“What happen to me?”
“You had a ulcer.”
“Where’s Kaley?”
“She’s still at Flowers but I am going to pick her up now.” Sid got up from his chair and kiss her temple.

It was quiet in the room, Mike and Rebecca were watching tv. It didn’t feel weird at all for both of them.
“So I didn’t tell you this last night but I was thinking of that morning of your first year anniversary. Do you remember that morning?” Mike had a small smile on his face remembering that morning.
“Yea you called me cheese boy. So much cheese that I almost burn the whole apartment. I haven’t made a grilled cheese in a log time. I don’t even remember what it tastes like.”
“Really.” Rebecca sat up straighter in her bed.
“Well because you make them so perfectly that no one else could make it better, even me.”
“Do you need me to reteach you again?” Mike looked at Rebecca with his big brown eyes.
“Sure, whenever you are 100% back to normal.”
“Mommy!” Kaley came running to Rebecca and jumped on to the bed.
“Hey sweetheart, did you have a fun time with the Estelle.”
“Yep we did.” Then there was a knock on the door. Everyone turn around and there was James outside of her room with flowers in her hand.
“Hey guys.” James walked in slowly and hoping that no one will hurt him.
“Do you guys if I have a minute with James please?” Mike, Sid and Kaley all went out to the hallway so Rebecca and James could have some one on one talk. James took Mike’s chair and they were now face to face.
“Rebecca I am sorry of what I have been doing to you for the last couple of weeks. When I got the text from Sid that you were in the ER my heart stop for a second. I know what I have to do but it’s hard to find anyone with trust anymore. I want the same kind of love that you and Sid have.” Rebecca was nodded her head agreeing with James.
“First I would do is be yourself and I know a great person that you can ask.”
“Who?”
“Sid. If you want the same love as we have than go asks him then.” James kissed her forehead and couldn’t get the smile off of his face.
“Thanks sis.”
The doctor came into her room with a clipboard in hand.
“Mrs. Crosby, I need to talked to you and your husband.” Rebecca nodded her hand and James went to grab Sidney. When Sid sat on her bed they were waiting on what the doctors needed to tell them.
“First you are bed rest till next week from the ulcer and I have info that you are pregnant.” Both Sidney and Rebecca were in shock from the second news. They are going to have another child. Sidney was very happy about that because he could help Rebecca this time.
“Were going to be parents again.” Tears were coming down her cheeks.
“Rebecca you don’t have to scared anymore because we are in this together no matter what ok.”
“When do you want to tell them?”
“Whenever you are ready to do that. I will be ready when you are."
