Skating in the Dark

I wake up hearing something scratching at the door. Then I hear the door open and I hear something come running over to the bed. I feel the bed move and then I feel something warm and furry lie down next to me. I open my eyes and only see a big blur of fur. I put my arm around him and fall asleep hugging him.
I wake up when Erin comes in to take Domino out for a walk. She comes to attach a leash to him, and tells him it's time to go for a walk, but he stays where he is and looks at me and refuses to move. She goes to pull him but she gets too close to me and he growls at her. I sit up and tell her that I will take him for a walk. And she just looks at me and says “Are you sure? You should be resting. I can take him.”
“Erin, he doesn’t want to leave, and he can help me. And If you need you can come with me.”
“Okay, fine. And I am coming with you.” I get up out of the bed and Domino jumps off after me. I tap my right leg with my right hand and he comes over next to my leg. I grab onto his collar and say “Front door, Domino.” And he starts to walk towards the front door. Erin opens the front door and we walk out. Erin stays inside and watches us walk down the street. Domino stops and leans down to tell me to let go. I let go and he walks over to a tree. When he is done he comes back over and we walk back to Erin's house.
A guy comes over to us and tries to grab me, but Domino is there and he growls at the guy. The guy tries to grab me again but this time Domino barks. The next time he tries to grab at me, Domino snips at his hand and I kick at where his crotch is. He falls down as Erin comes running out. She grabs me and starts running towards her house. The guy grabs me and I release Domino. Domino runs over to the guy and attacks him. Erin’s neighbor runs out of his house and runs over to us.
“What is going on? I am going to have to shoot the dog if it doesn't stop.” He states.
“The guy was trying to grab her and her dog protected her. Can you do something to arrest him? We have no idea why he was trying to grab her. I don’t even know who he is. And she's going blind, so she can't see him.” Erin says as I look at her neighbor. He is a cop, and his uniform says that his last name is George.

George says “I’m going to shoot the dog if it doesn’t stop.”
“Domino here.” I say and tap my leg. He stops and looks at the guy and barks in victory. Then comes over to my side and sits down. The guy tries to get up but Officer George has him in handcuffs. Erin and I thank Officer George and head back into her house. As soon as the door closes Erin looks at me and says, “I knew I should have gone out with you.”

“Erin, Domino did what he was supposed to do and he protected me. Even if you were there the same thing would have happened and you might have gotten hurt. Look if you’re just going to stand here and yell at me then I can leave. I can go over to a hotel and stay there. So if you’re done now I’m going to go back to bed.” I tapped my left leg and Domino came over and I grabbed his collar and said "room." When we get to the room he pushes the door open and then pulls me through. Once he got me to the bed, he leans down and I release him then he walks over to the door and pushes it closed.
