Chapter 15


Cassie had gotten up and doing a few things around the house she was trying to avoid social media as she knew the media would have a field day with him when he spoke with them

She had gotten a text from Nathalie about the media and finally checked it out seeing that Sid finally just gave it to them about stuff Cassie was shocked but also proud

She went to start some lunch she made enough in case any of the guys that brought him home stopped in she decided soup and grilled cheese would be easy

You coming in” Sid asks pascal as they arrived at the house

“For at least a few to say hi to Cassie and all” he says

"Good” Sid says

Cassie saw them and says I figured timing just right lunch is almost done and Pascal you are staying no arguments cause I made enough in case anyone stopped by” Cassie says

“Can't tell her no trust me” Sid says

"That's you that can't tell her no but I will stay “ Pascal says laughing

“So you told him “ Cassie says

"Actually G told him along with everyone else” Sid says

“Typical Geno everyone would know soon anyways since we are trying this” Cassie says

“I know I just wanted to be the one to tell and it's not going to be trying we are going to make a go of this definitely “ Sid says kissing her

“Aww well how about you can show me off at the game would you like that” Cassie says knowing he wasn't a big show off but was trying to help the situation

"Very true cause you are definitely coming to banner night game even if i am not playing that night means so much for so many reasons” Sid says

“I know and I wouldn't miss it “ Cassie says as she hands the guys plates with their food on it

"Good I only sorry you won't see me play that night” Sid says it was really bothering him missing the game one cause it was first home game and banner rising plus it was the Capitals

“Baby listen I love watching you play hockey but I would rather have you not playing until you are totally better cause that what really matter to me you being healthy” Cassie says as they sit down to eat

"I know it's just makes me so mad at times that I am going to miss the start of the season for it to happen before the season even starts” he says

“I know” Cassie says

“Sorry just still kind of pissed about the media earlier too” Sid says

"I know I tried to stay away but then heard something about it and saw the video somewhere but I am proud of you let them know the truth in a frim way without getting too pissed with them” Cassie says

"Yeah but I wasn't my total calm cool collective self either” Sid says

“Don't worry what they say it doesn't matter don't even think about it man really ok let's enjoy lunch then you rest hopefully tomorrow maybe you can skate a little “ pascal says

“Yeah true” Sid says

"They said you can skate tomorrow “ Cassie asks

“We will see if I can that will make things somewhat better” he says

“Yes it will cause just you being on the ice will help you that's your fave place” Cassie sayssmiling she hoped he be able to skate if nothing else

"Yeah” he says not sure if he be able to and that worried him

Thanks for lunch this is great” pascal says trying to change the subject

"Thanks and you are welcome” Cassie says

Yeah thanks for making it and enough for all of us” Sid says


“Welcome I made way too much I wasn't sure who else would be coming” Cassie says

“Oh give the rest of them time I am sure they will be here at some point” Sid says

"Yeah they most likely will be least Geno” pascal says

"Well there enough if anyone else shows up” Cassie says

“Yeah and you should rest a little “ pascal says to Sid

“He right” Cassie says

"I know and that's the plan cause I want to make sure if there a chance I can get out on the Ice tomorrow I want to” Sid says

They finished lunch and pascal left Sid went into the living room to rest while Cassie cleaned up from lunch Sid turned on a movie but really didn't care about it he laid down just thinking about everything his mind was racing about it all that just made him have a headache he closed his eyes

Cassie finished up in the kitchen she went to check on Sid before doing a few other things she saw he was sleeping which she was glad she grabbed her blanket from by the couch and covered him up

"I am not asleep I just ended up with a headache” he says without opening his eyes

"You should sleep some baby then to get rid of it” Cassie says

“Lay down with me then” he says

“I was going to get stuff done around the house for you” Cassie says

“Baby I don't care about that stuff right now I rather hold you and sleep” sid says

Cassie knew she wanted him to sleep She could do the stuff later getting Sid rest and feeling better that's all that mattered to her right now she laid down beside him and he pulled her closer and covered her up with the blanket kissing her relaxing some
