Chapter 24


Sid woke up and went to start his shower to get ready to head to the arena he was careful not to wake Cassie up Cassie felt him get up and woke up she headed into the bathroom and says “Sid I am going to go get ready for the game”

He was already done showering and was getting ready to shave he had a towel around him “Ok baby once I am done shaving I am going to get dressed” he says

“I won't be long” Cassie says

“Hey by the way would you sit down in the seats I have with my parents” Sid asks

“That was my plan I like sitting in the seats I do and this way you can focus in the box just on the game” Cassie says

“Yeah thanks baby” Sid says


Cassie left to get ready she was wearing one of Sid home jersey with her jeans she didn't care how big the jersey was Sid had finished getting ready and headed downstairs to find his parents he says” Cassie going to sit in the seats with you guys”

“We figured she would” Troy says as Cassie comes down

“You know you make that jersey look better than I do” Sid says

"No I don't but I love wearing it and I know it's big but it's your” Cassie says

“It looks perfect sweetie” Trina says

“We all ready to go” Troy asks “Yeah I think so” Sid says

They get in the car and head to the arena Meet you guys in the lounge after the game” Sid says

“Ok sounds good” Cassie says They head to the seats as Sid heads to the locker room

As they sit down Cassie says “ it makes me so sad to know he upset he can't be out there”

“How have things been” Troy asks

"Good and bad there are days that are great and ones that aren't so great” Cassie says

“What are some of the not so great things” Troy asks

"Well after the pre season game he was pulled in at home post game was on and media was saying something may have happen at World Cup of Hockey and he finally just lost it throw a picture frame at the custom mirror in his room” Cassie says

"That's not like him at all” Troy says

"Yeah Pascal came over when I called and helped get his back down thank god for him” Cassie says

"Yeah I was glad when I heard he staying” Trina says

"Yeah” Cassie says

"What else” Troy asks

"After the first home game Alexander caused some issues said crap to him he said something back and Alex was ready to him him but Geno about basically kicked his ass then gave Sid the riot act about not letting Alex win by getting to him” Cassie says

“That's Geno he been a great friend I like him” Troy says

“Yeah him and Pascal have been amazing as well as the other guys. But Geno and Pascal have been at the house stayed over you name it they done it” Cassie says

" Now you guys have us too” Troy says

“I know and you don't know how thankful I am cause on some of the bad days or he is just having a hard time I don't know what to do to fix it” Cassie says

“Yeah those can be hard don't worry we are here for you as well as him” Trina says

" I wish he had let you guys come when it first happen but I think he didn't want to worry anybody” Cassie says

“Yeah and we should have been when he said not to I wanted to try to respect him and give him space but Trina was worried and he wasn't giving us much info which worried me too and we make the decision to come down and glad we did” Troy says

“It will be ok Cassie he will get through this “Trina says

“Yeah and around him i am always saying that but sometimes when by myself or some moments I just start to think what if and how it would affect him and then I have a bad moment for a time” Cassie says

"You been here for all the injuries so you know how this goes and you're doing it right on how to help him “ Troy says

“Yeah I just hope they win tonight and I hope soon he back on the ice playing “ Cassie says

“Yeah well he skating and that's huge I didn't even think he would be skating yet so it shouldn't be too long” Troy says

“Yeah that's what I am thinking and hoping” Cassie says

The game started and they watched while Sid was up watching in the box with Mario

“So your parents came into town” Mario asks

“Yeah I didn't want them to but now that they are here I am actually glad” Sid says

“Yeah I figured you know me and Nathalie think of you as a son and if you need anything you just ask. But definitely think whether you realized it or not you need them here” Mario says

“Yeah I am realizing and they are good and happy about me and Cassie” Sid says

“I am glad but I knew they would be” Mario says

“Yeah they knew we had feeling for each other and dad know for a long time I was shocked” Sid says as they watch the game
