Chapter 28

Sid left them to head to the locker room and Cassie and his parents headed to their seats

Sid walked into the locker room to his stall he stood there for a few minutes touching his jersey he couldn't believe he was finally going to play his first game of this season

. “The rest of the guys will be here soon I figured you been here early” Rick Tocchet says to him

"Yeah I just needed a few minutes here before everyone else comes in” Sid says

“I know you ready to take your team back Captain” Rick asks “More than you know” Sid says

“Good glad to have you back Captain let's go out and win this one ok” Rick says

“That's the plan “ Sid says smiling as the guys start coming in to get ready

“Is it official” Kris asks

"Yep boys I am back” Sid says

"Captain he's always Captain” Geno says

“Good to know your happy G” Sid says laughing

“Happy I excited” Geno says

Everyone laughs as they start to get ready

Cassie and his parents made it to their seats when Pascal come over and says “he's playing right”

“Oh yeah he so happy you should go see him before the game” Cassie says

“No he needs to focus I will see him after maybe we all do dinner after” Pascal says

“I think that sounds perfect” Cassie says

"Yeah good I am going up to the box I will see you after the game” pascal says

"Sounds good thanks for coming by to see me” Cassie says


“Always sweetheart like he a brother to me you're like a sister to me” pascal says as he left

“You all going to dinner would be good” Trina says

"Yeah I am sure we can get Geno to bring us home so you guys can go home after the game” Cassie says

"Don't worry we will figure it out I didn't even think we should have driven our car next time we will remember that” Troy says

The game started Cassie was a bundle of nerves she wanted this night to be amazing for Sid. It was half way through the first period and Sid’s line was out there and he got the puck went around the net and shot it from the corner and it went it

“That's my Captain” Cassie says so happy

“He’s definitely back” Troy says happy too

After celebrating the goal with teammates Sid looked up to where he knew the seats were and found Cassie and smiled even bigger seeing that she had tears in her eyes and how proud she was of him

It was near the end of the first period when the Penguins got on the power play and they were so in sync during it there was a minute left on the power play and period. Geno passed the puck back to Sid who shot it and it went right in the net

Geno skated over to Sid almost knocking him over

“Jeez G happy much” Sid says laughing

“Score you on fire” Geno says

“Let's not get ahead of ourselves G” Sid says as they headed to the bench

During the second the Penguins scored again they were winning going into the third period

Cassie was so happy she says to Troy and Trina “is it selfish of me to want him to get a hat trick”

"Not at all” Trina says

“It could happen “ Troy says

"It would just make this night even better” Cassie says

“Yes it would” Troy says smiling It was almost the end of the game the

Penguins hadn't given up another goal and were still winning that's when Sid got a breakaway in the Penguins offense zone and went like he was going one way and last minute changes direction and shot the puck getting the hat trick

“Hell ya” Sid says as his teammates on the ice come over to celebrate

Hats started coming on the ice from all over the place

“Seeing him do stuff like that never gets old to me” Troy says so proud

"I still can't believe it I mean I knew he could do it I just didn't think it was going to happen “ Cassie says she was so happy

The team won and headed off the ice to the locker room Cassie, Troy and Trina headed down to the lounge to wait for Sid. Sid couldn't wait to see her after the game he knew he have media and get a shower but she would be waiting for him in the lounge when he was done

Not that longest chapter but loved it cause he back on ice in it and picks right up lIke nothing happen!!
