Chapter 40

Holiday season

December was here and not only were the holidays coming but the Penguins had a crazy schedule with some road games between a lot of home games. Sid was glad that they had only few road games this month and the game before Christmas break was a home one

. He was glad he be able to make Cassie have an amazing Christmas on Christmas this year.

Cassie loved Christmas she was already ready to start decorating all over the house she planned a tree for the living room and a special hockey tree for the game room.

Sid had some home games this first week of December so he was planning on taking Cassie out to pick out what all she needed to decorate He came home from practice and says to her “Hey baby let’s go out shopping for everything you need to the trees”

“Really baby?” Cassie asks excited

“Yeah baby I know how much you love Christmas baby and want you to be able to decorate as much as you want” Sid says

"This is why I love you so much baby you get me and you do whatever to make me happy and take care of me” Cassie says

“Well I love you baby and that's my job to protect you and take care of you and I love making you happy that makes me happy” Sid says kissing her

They head out to get all the stuff they needed to decorate the house. Cassie was looking for some special hockey things for the tree in the game room. She had already ordered some stuff she found online.

"Now let's go home and decorate our trees” Sid says as they finish up

"I love hearing that “ Cassie says

“About decorating” Sid says

“Well yeah but it being our trees” Cassie says

"I meant it baby” Sid says as they head home They got the living room tree done and it looked amazing now they were getting ready to work on the game room tree.

Cassie went and got the stuff she ordered “Wow baby when did you get all this stuff” Sid asks seeing the custom made ornaments she has done

"I ordered them” Cassie says

“The cup one is truly amazing looks so much like it” Sid says

“I know I had to get it” Cassie says

"And the Canadian flag one baby it means so much to me” Sid says

“I am so glad baby” Cassie says as they start to add all the stuff to the tree

They got everything on the tree and Cassie says “what do you think”

“It's amazing my favorite tree ever really baby it's perfect “ Sid says smiling

"Good I am glad” Cassie says

Over the next few weeks things were crazy but it was time for the annual team holiday skate Cassie always loved this it so much fun “I love seeing you in my jersey that never gets old “ Sid says as Cassie finished getting ready for the skate

“I am glad this is one of my fave things the whole season” Cassie says

"The holiday skate” Sid says

“Yeah it's fun and It's become a tradition for us since your first season” Cassie says

“This is true I guess I never thought of it like that but I love that we can make traditions like that” Sid says

They arrive at the arena and get their skates on when Geno says “finally you here”

“Did you miss us Geno” Cassie says laughing

“Kind of plus better when captain is here” Geno says

“Thanks G let's go skate” Sid says as he takes Cassie hand and leads her out to the ice

They skates together holding hands everyone one had their families seeing everyone and all the kids Skating was fun

“See this is why I love this it's so much fun and everyone brings their families and kids it's perfect” Cassie says

“It is someday we will be bringing our kids to this and I can't wait to see them skating “ Sid says

“Aww baby I love hearing that baby cause I do what that with you” Cassie says

“Good” Sid says kissing her

They skate a little longer then they were seeing everyone Sid was making the rounds to all his teammates he was a great captain and friend he took time with their kids too Cassie loved seeing him doing this

As it was getting ready to end Sid comes over and says to her “hey I told Kris we take Alex for a while so they can finish some shopping I hope that's ok”

"Yeah it's fine baby it will be fun we can order pizza and get it on the way home and watch a movie in the game room” Cassie says smiling

"Thanks baby your the best” Sid says

“Are we just taking him home from here?” Cassie asks

“Yeah and they will pick him up after” Sid says

They got everything from Kris they needed from his car and they headed home picking up the pizza on the way home

Cassie went to get plates and drinks to take to the game room. Sid already took Alex to the game room to pick a movie “Wow tree” Alex says seeing the hockey tree

“You like that buddy” Sid asks him

"Yeah” Alex says

"Cassie did that it's awesome right” Sid says Alex nodded his head They were still looking at the tree when Cassie was getting ready to walk in she saw

Sid showing him everything on the tree “Cup” Alex says seeing the Stanley Cup ornament

“That's right buddy” Sid says Cassie loved seeing him showing Alex everything “

"We should pick a movie to watch before Cassie gets in here” Sid says

“Cars” Alex says

Sid found it and put it on as Cassie came in and says I got plates and drinks

"Thanks baby come sit on the couch with us” Sid says Cassie loved that he has a huge couch in this room she sat beside Sid and Alex was on the other side of him

They ate and watched the movie over half way through Alex fell asleep on Sid “Think someone wore himself out today” Cassie says

"Yeah I think he did it was a long day” Sid says

“Yes it was baby I am going to take the plates out to the kitchen and the extra pizza” Cassie says

“Are you sure baby you don't have to” Sid says

“Nope it's ok I got it you just stay here so he doesn't wake up” Cassie says throwing a blanket on top of Alex


Cassie got the pizza in the fridge and put to the dishes in the dishwasher. She got everything done and headed back and Sid had fallen asleep too she had to take a photo it was so cute She sat down beside him and Sid woke up and says “hey baby I love moments like this”

"Me too baby” Cassie says

A little later Kris came to pick up Alex he says to Sid “thanks so much for watching him it was a big help”

"It was so problem man we were happy to “ Sid says

“Well I owe you” Kris says

“No you don't and sorry if he asked for a hockey tree he saw the one Cassie did in the game room and was in love with it “ Sid says

"Well I might need to get Cassie to get me everything for one” Kris says

"Actually don't worry about it I will talk to her and we will order and take care of it all” sid says

“Are you sure” Kris says

"Yep for his room” Sid says

“Thanks man and thanks again” Kris says

Sid walked back in and says “ today was fun and amazing”

“Yes it was baby and today makes me just know that I want days like this for us and Christmas with kids" Cassie says


“I know I can't wait for that either baby. oh by the way can you order stuff for a hockey Christmas tree for Alex I want to get him one since he loved ours” Sid says

"I would be happy to baby and I love that you want to do something so sweet for him makes me love you even more” Cassie says kissing him

"Thanks baby I can't wait for Christmas” Sid says

“It's going to be nice to be home” Cassie says

“Yes it will be and it's going to be perfect” Sid says and he truly was going to make it amazing and perfect for her

Trying to post and get this caught up for you guys to get you to last chapter that is ready as is now which is three more no then story isn't over I just realized I hadn't posted a few chapters here.
