Knocked Down, Rise Above

Chapter 5

After standing there for a little Bit he loosens up on how tight he was hugging her

“So now what” Cassie asks

"Testing at beginning of the week” Sid says

“You staying here for the game or going home” she asks


"It's killing me to be here and not play” he says

“So home” Cassie suggests

“No I have to stay and watch here I still Need to be here for the team” Sid says

"Ever the captain that's what makes you an amazing captain and me proud of you” Cassie says

"Yeah going to go to the box so I can sort of hide out” Sid says

"Yeah figured that what was going to need to be done for now at least” Cassie says

"Yeah come with me to watch” he says

“Are you sure I can “ cassie says

“Yeah I am going to Mario box and Nathalie would love to see you she hasn't seen you since we got to Pittsburgh” Sid says with a sort of smile but not a true one

Mario and Nathalie weren't just owners to Sid they truly were like a second mom and dad and their kids like sisters and brother to him. They always has also been welcoming to Cassie since her and Sid had become friends

"Then I would love to cause I love to chat and catch up with her” Cassie says

"Let me get changed into my suit and we can head up before people start to show up” he says

“Alright” Cassie says she felt kind of dressed wrong for the box as she has jeans with one of Sid jerseys on and nothing to change into Sid had finished and came out for them to walk up to the box he must have sensed what she was feeling about her outfit cause he says” you look amazing what you have on is fine”

“How did you know what I was thinking” Cassie asks Cause

"we always been able to know what the other is thinking “ he says as they reach the box and go in

"Oh my god Cassie” Nathalie says hugging her so glad to see the girl she thought of as another daughter

"Nathalie it's so glad to see you” Cassie says

" Come on we can talk and watch the game and let the boys discuss things” Nathalie says

"Yeah ok” Cassie says going with her still worried about Sid thought Marco and Sid sat down so they could talk and watch the game

"Hey he fine Mario with him trust me” Nathalie says seeing Cassie looking over at Sid

" Yeah but what if it's like last time that was tough” Cassie says

"It was but we don't know anything yet and you know what makes this different than last time you will be here last time you had just taken the job out of state but now your back” Nathalie says

“Yeah when he asked me to come back I said for just a little bit I need to find a job somewhere” Cassie says

"There are jobs here Cassie and when are you both going to wake up and realize” Nathalie says

"You still think this about us” Cassie says

"A mother knows I might not be his mother but I have become just like a second mother and I can tell trust me” Nathalie says

“Nathalie we been friends forever not sure it's ever going to be more than that” Cassie says


" Just say you will stay and look for jobs here, he needs you and I think you need him too you both just can't admit it yet” Nathalie says say

they watch the game The game was not going in Pittsburgh favor and they had just started the third period by now Sid was more upset he even got up and starting walking about the box Nathalie gave Mario a nod saying to talk to him knowing Cassie was worrried

Mario went and but his hand on sid shoulder and says" hey come back and sit down

“I can't look at what is happening out there” Sid says

“Sid it's a pre season game “ Marco says

“Yeah but our last one we need to be ready and i let them down as a captain and you down” he says

"You haven't let anyone down these things happen injuries happen and right now we don't even know what it is it could be nothing we have to wait til Monday but your an amazing captain” Marco says as hugged him and finally got him to sit back down The game ended with Pittsburgh losing and Sid feeling more dejected than earlier.

Notes

Another chapter know I posted a lot on here already but trying to get to the longer chapters and such

that being said I most likely will atleast post two more chapter one he next one which is very short and the one after which I feel is very important in this story with Cassie and Sid plus the teammates
