Have to have the Philly incident of 2005 in here sorry to any Philly fans reading on the title but like Sid says that's when he learned how it was going to be with Philly. Had to make this a key moment in here thanks for reading as always


Chapter 4

Learning to hate Philly

Sid and the team had a game in Philly he was getting closer to his teammates as the season went on. One thing he hated was his schedule was crazy and he hated that him and Cassie couldn't hang out as much but she had school plus work so she was busy too


Cassie uncle had scored tickets to the game in Philly though work as he had to go to a business meeting out there He invited Cassie to go and she was able to as she only had one class she have to miss “Thanks for inviting me” Cassie says as they arrived at the game

“Not a problem you know I love watch hockey games with my favorite niece” Paul says

“Uncle Paul I am your only niece” Cassie says laughing

"Did you let Sid know you were coming out” Paul asks

"No I was going to call his cell phone but that boy hardly checks it anyways” Cassie says laughing

They were watching the game when it happen Hatcher took Sid down, when he finally got back up you could see blood


“Fucking Hatcher” Cassie yells

"Young lady” Paul says

"Don't tell me you're not thinking it too” Cassie says

“Ok I am thinking the same thing” Paul says

"God hope he ok” Cassie says

“Sure he fine probably cut his lip or mouth” Paul says


Sure enough when the next period started there was Sid back out on the ice

"Doesn't look worse for the wear” Paul says

"Nope I hope he show them now what he can do” Cassie says

“He will I am sure of it” Paul says


He went out there and played like nothing happen even though a few of his teeth had been damaged and a cut lip He got a goal that tied the game up

Cassie looked at her uncle and says “thank god he got that goal we can get them in overtime”

"Oh yeah” Paul says

The game went into overtime and not even a minute into it Sidney made a move on goal with the puck shot it right past the goaltender

“Hell ya” Cassie yells jumping up

“That's our team” Paul says high fiving Cassie

Can we wait til after the three stars” Cassie asks

“Sure” Paul says he and Cassie had headed over to where the players came out to the ice

When Sid was announced as the first star he actually came out to skate

As soon as Cassie sees him she yells “hey hockey god”

Sid heard it and looked seeing her and was shocked as he goes to go off he says “what are you doing here”

"This is my uncle Paul he got tickets and invited me” Cassie says “


"Nice to meet you” Sid says

“You too” Paul says

Are you ok” Cassie asks

“Yeah have to get my teeth taken care of” Sid says showing her

“Damn” Cassie says

"It happens you should have let me know you be at the game I would have gotten you back to the locker room area” Sid says

“It's ok we have to leave anyways have to head back to Pittsburgh but please call me once you get your teeth taken care so I know you're ok” Cassie says

“I will and we need to do lunch or dinner when I am back in town” Sid says

“Yeah definitely talk to you later” Cassie says

"Good be safe getting home” Sid says as they say goodbye and he goes to get showered

"He seems really nice” Paul says

"Yeah he's my best friend now that's we gotten to know each other” Cassie says

“I can tell” Paul says as they leave

Sid was in some definite pain from what happen in the game earlier and was realizing Philly wouldn't be a friendly place to Play at all. He have to get the teeth looked at once back in Pittsburgh

When he was named first star he skated out there on their ice to prove to the Flyers and their fans they can try to drag him down but he wasn't going to back down

He was glad to be going home for a few games back in Pittsburgh in Mellon Arena where fans loved and adored him and cheered this team on. He knew they had a lot of work but was determined to make this team amazing
