AAOOOSC!: Gulls' Adventures!

Later that day, the three roommates are outside, sitting on the grass by the lake behind the Conway Mansion. The lake is massive, nestled in a grassland with scattered trees as it glistens in the afternoon sun. Although the skies are blue with puffy clouds drifting by, the temperature is cold as the ocean breeze blows through the tranquil scenery.

The hockey players’ hair is whipping through the wind along with their clothes fluttering as they stare out at nature.

"I can't believe it," Joseph grumbles, sitting crisscrossed with crossed arms. He has a glare at the lake. "Kalle took Dustin in and is caring for him. And we’re staying in the same place as he is!"

Next to him, Brandon is hugging his legs to his chest to keep warm, staring out ahead. "Well, we can't stop Kalle from taking care of him," he points out with uncertainty. "That’s quite, um, rude."

He bares his teeth. "He deserves every bit of rudeness after what he did to me!"

"We can just avoid him," Nick pipes in with his legs extended on the grass as his arms are propped behind him. "It's such a huge place anyway."

"Or maybe we can treat him kindly." Brandon turns to his roommates. "And then he can see that we are nice and maybe he'll apologize for what he did to us."

"Yeah, like apologizing will bring Maxi back here." Joseph casts his eyes on the quivering blades of grass.

"You apologized to me," Nick tells him softly.

Joseph flicks his cold eyes at him. "That's because you made me see." He rips out tufts of grass mindlessly. "Dustin's done nothing good for me."

Brandon lets out a heavy sigh while turning back to the lake. "For now, we'll just see how it goes. Besides, he'll be lounging in the medical wing." He turns back to the others. "It's not like we'll bump into him while walking around the place."

"Which is good, because I'd punch that face of his if he was." Joseph holds a tight fistful of grass.

Nick cranes his head toward Brandon. "Are we going to return to our house?"

"Yeah, without a living room, dining room, and kitchen—definitely," Joseph remarks sarcastically with a roll of his eyes.

"I’ll call up the owner and tell her what happened," Brandon responds with a better answer. He then sighs and reverts his gaze back at the body of water. "But at least we know one thing: No one will attack us anytime soon…"
