AAOOOSC!: Gulls' Adventures!

"Earth, Wind, & Fire...and Lots of Water"

The night has dawned, but the day is not over: Bryan’s constellation party has just begun! Most of the Gulls are at the Monarossabergie House, standing around or lounging on the furniture in the living room while conversing with one another or helping themselves to the snacks and refreshments.

Next to the telescope, Bryan is giddily peeking through the telescope with a massive smile plastered on his face.

He pulls away from the tube and peers up at Stu, who is standing next to him.

“It’s so close, it’s so close!” Bryan exclaims while clapping feverishly. “When I see it, I’m gonna FREAK!”

“Why are you so hyped up about stars, though?” Stu asks. “It’s so strange--”

“Because it’s MY constellation! It’s from MY sign! It represents me!” He places his hands against his chest. “It only comes around this month and I can’t miss it! I missed it last year and it really made me sad because I wasn’t able to see it well because I forgot about it since my team was on road trip and--”

“Why don’t you check the telescope again?” Stu cuts into his blabbering, nodding toward telescope itself.

Bryan’s eyebrows light up. “Ooo, yeah, I don’t wanna miss it again!” He squints into the aperture once again. He then lets out a long gasp.

“I SEE IT!” he bellows. “I SEE IT I SEE IT I SEE IT!!!” He pulls away from the telescope and turns to his friend. “Pickle Stew, look look look!!!”

Stu lifts the optical tube up to his eye level, which does not quite reach him, so he bends over to take a good through the telescope.

Through its lens, he spots a cluster of white stars against the black sky with two larger stars next to each other on the top left side, another on the bottom left, and another on the top right corner.

He straightens up and peers down at his friend. “It’s really pretty.”

Bryan turns to the partygoers. “Guys, check out my constellation!”

With that, most of the Gulls line up to take a peek into the telescope. Brandon is the first one to take a peek.

Bryan whirls to his friend as Brandon trades his place with Joseph to look at the constellation. “Did you see it? Did you see my constellation?”

“Yeah, yeah, I saw it!” Stu nods his head more than needed.

“It’s mine!” He throws his hands out from his side. “My constellation from my sign! I am so proud to be a Gemini!” He clutches his hand against his chest with a massive grin. “Did you know that Geminis are happy people? I’m a happy person! Also, we’re great a communication! I’m a great communicator--!”

“Yes, so I’ve noticed,” Stu adds in, nodding some more.

“See? Even you know!” He rubs his hands together as his hair begins to flutter lightly. “This is the best day ever…!”

Stu stares at him with a strange expression as he continues chattering on about his sign. He then senses a breeze brush by him, causing him to whirl his head around to see where it is coming from:

The windows are closed, the front door is closed, there are no electronic fans in the room, yet the patio is open, but the window seems to be coming from Bryan’s direction, who is situated right in front of him, compared to the patio, which is to his left.

“Uh, Bryan?” Stu asks warily. “Do you feel a breeze in here?”

Bryan halts his prattling and snaps his head around to notice the gust that is now gradually winding around him. “Oh yeah, there is a breeze here!” He peers up at his spiked hair is fluttering in the air. “Huh, that’s strange--” He cups his hand over his stubbed-filled chin. “--I remember watching the news this morning and they said there wasn’t gonna be any wind!”

“Hey, Bryan!” Harry Zolnierczyk calls out from the telescope; Bryan turns around to face him. “I adjusted the telescope again-- You gotta check out the crystal-clear view of the Gemini constellation!”

Bryan gasps with excitement and speeds to the telescope. He peers into the aperture, letting out an even longer gasp. “IT’S SO BEAUTIFUUUL!!!”

WOOSH!

Suddenly, the gust morphs into a mighty current of wind, churning around him. It instantly picks up light objects in its growing radius, tossing the snacks on the dining table into the kitchen, having the telescope sway under its force, and picking up dust particles from the floor.

“OH MY--!” Stu stumbles back in shock with wide eyes at his friend.

“AH-HAH!” Bryan hollers staring at the lightweight objects whipping around him as his hair is now streaking back. “I’M IN A TORNADO!”

This, of course, catches the attention of all the teammates at the party; they are all gawking at their small teammate stuck in the tornado.

“What is going on…?” Brandon squeaks out, getting a bad feeling about this supernatural predicament.

“STU!” Bryan shouts over the howling wind as it increases in power, beginning to shuffle the dining chairs and the telescope. “Stu…!” His voice is now filled with trepidation. “I’m-I’m gonna get blown away… I’M GONNA GET BLOWN AWAY!”

Stu swishes his eyes from his friend to his teammates and back. “Ummm…!” He then holds his hands out, feeling the strength of the wind around his friend. “Let’s-let’s go out! Go outside!”

Bryan pokes his foot out from the vortex, giving him the relief that he can still walk with the tornado around him. He then continues his stepping toward the patio as Stu moves the telescope out of the way and pulls the sliding glass door fully open.

The curtains on the side of the glass doors spin around and get tangled up with themselves as Bryan passes by the doorway and out of the room. Stu quickly follows behind him, sliding the door shut behind him.

The room immediately falls into sudden quietness and stillness. Then the teammates start muttering among themselves about the outré experience with the party host.

“What was that all about?” Brandon asks, scratching his head while staring at the disorganized dining room.

“I was hoping he would fly off with the wind,” Joseph grumbles with crossed arms.

Brandon shoots him a flat expression. “Of course you would. At least he’s outside, if that makes you any happier.”

Joseph glares at him. He opens his mouth to say another snarky remark, but then immediately closes his mouth as his eyes widen: He spots a flame spurt from the left side of his roommate’s hair. “Uh, Monty?”

“What?”

“You’re on fire.”

Brandon narrows his eyes at him. “Is that suppose to be some type of--?”

“Brandon, I’m not joking, you’re on fire!”

BOOOOF!

The flame expands, running itself down his arm and cover his entire hand in blazing orange. Brandon instantly spots the inferno that took place of his hand; his eyes turn as wide as pucks. “OH MY GOODNESS, I’M ON FIRE!”

“Out, out, out, out!” Joseph shoves him away from him, toward the patio. He then whirls around to the nearest person, who turns out to be Nick. “Ritch, get a fire extinguisher!”

Nick nods his head slowly once then gradually turns around and lumbers deeper into the living room.

Joseph then quickly follows his flaming teammate into the side yard.

Outside, the winter night is cool and the sky is cloudless with the radiant moon. But down below, it is nothing close to cool.

“Stop burning!” Joseph snaps at his teammate as he steps up to him. The wind from Bryan, who is on the right side, the other side, of the yard, is stretched throughout the yard, whipping through his hair.

Brandon is stumbling backward as he witnesses his other hand blasting into fire. “OH MY GOODNESS GRACIOUS!” The fire’s glowing sparks drift from its thin tips, toward the house. Thankfully they dim into harmless particles as they approach the house

“Get away from the house!” Joseph barks, storming toward him as a way to guide him farther from the house.

Brandon steps back more, panic evident on his face. “How the heck did this happen?!”

“I don’t know!” He roars at him. You’re the one with the problem! Stop it!!”

“I don’t know how to stop it!” He shouts back, planting his feet in place. “Why don’t you stop it with your water?”

Joseph immediately halts. “What water?” He then gradually lifts his right hand to his eye level. Sure enough, wrapping around his arm up to the tip of his fingers are three ribbons of water with droplets hovering around them majestically. “What the--?”

He flicks his eyes at his flaming teammate, then back at the water that is winding itself on now both of his hands. He then takes a breath, balls his fists as he pulls them up to his shoulders, and flicks them out at him with his palms extended fully.

A blast of water emits from both palms, blasting at straight at Brandon. Brandon immediately is thrown against the wooden fence and is pinned there due to the harsh force of the water. The warm glow around him flickers and disappears.

He coughs under the torrent. “FOP! FOP!” he sputters. “PHLAT’S FINUF!”

Joseph then retracts his hand, closing his palms into fists. He stares intensely ahead at his flattened roommate. “Good?”

Brandon lets out a string of coughs into his fist as he plods over to him, soaking wet. “Yeah, I think that’d do,” he says weakly.

They then hear laboured breath, so they turn to see where it’s coming from.

Nick halts next to them with a red fire extinguisher in both hands. “I got the fire extinguisher!”

Brandon hugs himself as he feels the cold gust of wind brush past him, plastering his cold clothes against his skin. “T-t-tooooo late,” he forces out in a shiver.

“Go extinguish Squirrel’s problem,” Joseph commands him gruffly, nodding toward the other end of the yard.

“Okay…!” Nick turns around and jogs to the other end of the yard with the fire extinguisher.

Joseph stays still next to his roommate, who is quivering while his teeth are clattering.

“How...the heck...di-did this...happen…?” Brandon hisses out, rubbing his hands against his dampened sleeve-covered arms.

“I’m betting Icemare,” Joseph remarks, eyeing him. He then unzips his jacket and shrugs it off. “Stop shivering.” He throws it over his dank shoulders.

“Th-th-th-thanks…” Brandon wraps the jacket around him, clutching its edges against his chest to produce as much warmth as possible.

Suddenly, the side door slides open and the rest of the Gulls start pouring out into the side yard. Yet each of their teammates is radiating a different type of element: Either water droplets are hovering from them, fire is licking down their arms and hands, wind is whipping around them, or leaves are flutter around them.

The two roommates gawk at their frightened teammates as they attempt to smother their supernatural displays.

Nick lopes back over to them, now holding the unlocked fire extinguisher with its hose out. He breathes heavily as he tells them, “I calmed Mooresy down.”

“Good,” Joseph grunts out as he wraps an arm around Brandon and rubs his hand against his upper arm to help him warm up.

Brandon nods his head vigorously as he stares out at his teammates with wide eyes. “Ummm…” He flicks them at friend. “Do you have enough fire extinguisher foam for them too?”
