AAOOOSC!: Gulls' Adventures!

Inside, the music is still flowing, the dancers are still moving, the mood is still lively in the air.

From the entrance, Brandon whirls to face his teammates.

“Okay guys,” he starts off sternly, “this time we're gonna stick together. Even though it'd look awkward all going into a bathroom at the same time, we have to do this.” He holds his hands up. “Okay?”

The response he gets is his teammates gawking in shock with their attention beyond him.

Brandon shoots them an odd expression. “What?” He turns around to see what their attention is on. He immediately gawks as well.

Standing next to the orchestra on the other side of the room is Dustin Tokarski, the goalie the Gulls traded for in place of Max Friberg. He is also in a double-breasted suit and tie with a fedora, appearing to be enjoying the music with a smile on his soft face.

A scowl overcomes Joseph’s face. “What is HE doing here?” he growls.

“What on earth?” Brandon mutters.

Dustin slides his warm-appearing eyes toward his teammates’ direction, catching sight of them on the other side the room. His eyes immediately widen as his eyebrows shoot up and his body straightens up.

He then spins around his heels and speeds through the exit door, which is nearby him, vanishing from sight.

“I’m getting him--!” Joseph barks, charging toward the door the goalie slipped through.

“Joey!” Brandon chases after him.

Stu turns to the goalies and nods toward the running skaters. “Let’s go after them.”

The teammates rush after one another, flying through the scattered tables and onto the dance floor. They weave through the swinging dancers, who fling each themselves into the air and around in circles to the groovy, lively beat of swing music.

Joseph is the first to slip out from the dance floor and dart to the exit. He slams the door open like an angered bull and disappears outside.

Brandon holds the door open from closing on him. He then rushes through the doorway and out of sight.

Stu, Matt, and Ryan quickly follow, leaving the boisterous swing dancers and orchestra behind in the room.
