Brandon turns away from Bryan with his fist holding up his head. His mind wanders off to the most recent devastating news: the Gulls are out of the playoff race.

Brandon reaches over the toaster, grabs the clock with both hands, and slips it down from its nails. Yet before he could examine it clearly, a streak of purple energy strikes him, immediately having him vanish from the room.

---

“Monty!” Joseph launches out from his seat and rushes into the kitchen, behind the counter top. “I saw him going back here--” He swipes the clock from the floor, immediately being engulfed in the identical streak of purple energy and disappearing.

---

Bryan snatches the clock from the ground and raises it up in the air. “WOOOOO!!!” He then disappears in a flash of purple energy.

---

Joe faces the others with an index finger in the air. “Can't leave 'em behind in an unknown territory!” He scoops up the clock. “Yippee-kai-yo-kai-yaaaaaay!!!” He then dissolves in a blast of purple energy.

---

Stu stands in front of the fallen clock, then peers back at the two goalies. “Are you guys coming?”

“What about Nicky?” Matt asks, nodding his head behind him, where Nick is still snoozing.

“He can sleep for hours--” Stu rolls his eyes. “Don't worry about him. Now let's go!” He then picks up the clock and disappears in a streak of purple energy.

“Let’s do it together,” Ryan tells Matt lowly. “On the count of three.”

Thick, bright, purple energy immediately swipes across the two goalies, vanishing them.

---

Matt gazes around the black and white scenery with awe. “Ryan…?” He reverts his gaze back at his goalie buddy with fright. “What's going on?”

---

“Okay,” Brandon starts, holding the palms of his hands out in front of him, “I think this is Icemare's curse, but it's never been THIS bad before.”

Joseph whirls to him with flashing eyes. “THIS bad?”

“Like we're now in a WHOLE other place!” Brandon explains. “We've NEVER been transported before with one of Icemare's curse!”

“Where are we though?” Matt asks his teammates. “Like which era?”

“I'm thinking the forties,” Ryan replies with his eyes darting around the vintage scenery.

---

“Wait for me when the next number comes on!” Bryan then spins around and zips up the stairs and disappears into the nearest door.

---

Stu is gazing around his surroundings in trepidation. “Had you guys seen Mooresy yet?”

---

“He's not in here,” Brandon speaks into the vacant bathroom. He turns to Jose. “He must've gone back down without us seeing him.”

---

“I'll find Mooresy!” Joe dashes away from his team, up the stairs, and slips into the bathroom, vanishing behind the closing door.

Stu turns to his team with an upset expression. “First we're back in time and NOW Mooresy's gone?!” He groans with his hands in his hair.

---

In a dark gray double-breasted suit and tie with a fedora, Nick is leaning against the other building with a chilled manner in alley’s opening.

“Nicky?!” Brandon cries out.

---

“But whatever it is, we gotta go back inside and inspect that bathroom again. Let's go.” Brandon then breezes by them and begins to amble back toward the entrance of the building.

---

Standing next to the orchestra on the other side of the room is Dustin Tokarski, the goalie the Gulls traded for in place of Max Friberg. He is also in a double-breasted suit and tie with a fedora, appearing to be enjoying the music with a smile on his soft face.

A scowl overcomes Joseph’s face. “What is HE doing here?” he growls.

---

Joseph is the first to slip out from the dance floor and dart to the exit. He slams the door open like an angered bull and disappears outside.

Brandon holds the door open from closing on him. He then rushes through the doorway and out of sight.

Stu, Matt, and Ryan quickly follow, leaving the boisterous swing dancers and orchestra behind in the room.
