Savannah had almost made it to the front door. She would have if she hadn't fumbled her shirt and dropped it on the floor. She was putting it on over her head when she heard footsteps from behind her. She reached for the door handle when an arm reached around her, the hand pushing the door closed. She turned around to see a completely naked Tyler standing there. "Where the hell are you going?"

"Home," she said simply. Wasn't it obvious? That's what you do after a booty call.

"You can't tell me that wasn't good," Tyler commented.

"You're right, I can't. That was damn good. Might be the best I've ever had," she admitted with a small shrug. "But, now I'm going home." She tried to push his arm out of the way, but he wasn't budging. "Tyler, move."

"Look, I'm not one to ask a girl to stay. I'm the king of one night stands. But, you have to admit there was more there than just some good sex," he told her. It was taking all of her strength to keep her eyes on his face while he stood there so casual and comfortable completely naked.

She stared at him. "What are you trying to say?"

"Go out with me."

"You've got to be fucking kidding me," she muttered.

Tyler's eyes went wide. "What? You know it's not a bad idea! We work together. And, I'm not just talking about the sex."

She rolled her eyes and crossed her arms over her chest. "Get over yourself. You're not God's gift to women like you think you are. You were a good one night stand, but that's all this is going to be. We both know it wouldn't work."

"Why are you being so stubborn?" he questioned.

She hated the way he was judging her, pretending he knew her. He knew nothing about her. Except for maybe her body since he had just explored every inch of it in bed. "Fuck you," she said lowly. "You're just not used to a girl saying no to you."

"Actually your sister did it quite often," he chuckled, something so small but so sensual at the same time. She hated that he continued to stand there without any clothes on. How was he so damn comfortable that way?

Savannah narrowed her eyes at him. "Really? You're going to bring up my sister right now? Right after we had sex?" She pushed his arm down and out of the way. "You're a fucking dick."

"What the hell!?" he exclaimed. "It's not like I'm talking about dating or fucking her. I'm just saying she shot me down, too. Though she had a good reason, she's a lesbian. You're just scared."

Savannah was almost out the door when she spun around on her heel to glare at him for his last comment. She made sure to keep her eyes on his and not venture any lower. "I am not scared. I just don't like guys that can't handle when they're not in charge, when they're not the alpha male," she pointed her finger at his bare chest. She turned back around, her hand on the door handle, turning it and opening the door.

"Do you ever think that maybe it's not the guys' fault that you're blaming. Maybe you're the problem. Because you push everyone away because you think they can't handle your assertiveness, but really you just don't give anyone a fucking chance?" He was pissed at this point. She couldn’t blame him. She was furious, too.

"Fuck you, Seguin," she said loudly as she walked out the door, slamming it behind her. She walked to her car, stomping her feet. She hated him right now. Hated what he had said to her. Hated that he thought he knew her so well. He didn't fucking know her. He just thought he knew her type.

She hit the steering wheel with the heel of her hand when she got in her car. She was pissed at him. She grabbed her phone, texting the group text. Tyler Seguin is the biggest asshole in the world.

Twenty-five minutes later, she got a response from Shea. Come over, I'll have the drinks ready.

Savannah didn't need to be persuaded and instantly drove over to her sister's place. She walked inside, not even knocking. She saw Audrey sitting on the couch with her legs slung over Shea's lap, and she turned her head when she heard the door open. "What happened tonight?" she asked Savannah.

"Where's the drink you promised?" Savannah asked Shea, ignoring Audrey's question for a moment.

"You know where the alcohol is," Shea told her, and Savannah helped herself to a Jack and Diet Coke. "Now spill."

"Start from the beginning, please," Audrey requested as Savannah sat down in the love seat across from them, folding her legs underneath herself. "Shea filled me in a little bit. You asked Segs for a booty call?"

Savannah rolled her eyes. "Booty call, sex ,whatever you want to call it."

"Was the sex good?" Shea asked.

"It was fucking mind blowing," Savannah answered honestly. "Like seriously maybe the best I've ever had."

"So what's the problem?" Shea questioned.

"He ruined it," Savannah said simply.

"How…?" Shea asked, confused. Savannah had just said she'd had the best sex of her life, but then Tyler ruined it?

"He asked me out," Savannah stated. Both Shea and Audrey looked at her, dumbfounded.

"What?" she asked, seeing the identical looks on their faces. "Don't you get it? It was supposed to be just sex. Then he had to go and say we should date. Because we're good together." She rolled her eyes at his ridiculous comment

"Well, you kinda are…" Shea trailed off.

"No we're fucking not," Savannah argued, slamming her glass down on the coffee table in front of her. "We're good at sex. He just wants me because I don't date guys like him. He wants what he can't have, he likes when a girl plays hard to get. But, I'm not playing hard to get, I just don't think we'd ever work."

"Guys like him?" Audrey asked, wanting her to clarify.

"Guys that think they're gods or something. Ones that want girls to throw themselves at them. That's not me," she told them. "And then he had the fucking nerve to try to tell me it's my own fault that guys don't date me. That I fucking push them away," she fumed. She was pissed, reliving the argument again.

"Van, he kinda has a point," Shea told her slowly.

Savannah's eyes burned through her sister. "What?"

Shea shrugged. "You turn guys down immediately because you've had bad experiences in the past. Justin was an asshole who didn't like a woman that had her own life. He was never going to be good for you. I'm not saying that you and Tyler are going to get married, but I don't think he's like this crazy dictator or something that you're making him out to be."

"He's pretty cool and laid back," Audrey piped up, and Savannah hated that this was turning into a two against one argument. "Yeah, he's got that dominant male mentality, but that's because he's a hockey player. He's loud and obnoxious and used to getting the girls, but I don't think he's going to, like, try to control you." Savannah never really spoke about her ex-boyfriend, Justin, but based on what Audrey was saying, it appeared Shea had filled her in on that relationship.

"Oh my god, you two are actually wanting me to go out with him!" Savannah exclaimed, unable to believe what she was hearing.

"Alex would agree with us," Shea told her. "You can wait on her to quit banging Jamie and text her."

"So, what do you expect me to do?" Savannah asked.

"Uh, go and tell him you overreacted. He's pretty cool, he'll probably let it go," Shea told her.

"No, he'll give you shit, and then let it go," Audrey corrected her.

Shea pointed at her girlfriend. "That's probably more accurate. You can't keep using this excuse your whole life to avoid guys. Yeah, there are some assholes out there that aren't going to like that you're independent, but not all of them are like that." Savannah didn't reply but simply stared at her sister. "Or you can be like me and just date women," she added with a wink.

Savannah gritted her teeth as she thought about it for a moment. "It's like midnight, I'll talk to him tomorrow. He's probably out banging another girl already anyways," she said.

"If the sex was as good as you say it was, he's probably not walking right now," Audrey joked.

"Call him," Shea suggested. "He's probably still up." She had known Tyler long enough to know he tended to stay up late. When they would hang out at the bar together, he was always the last person to leave.

Savannah sighed. "Fine," she told her sister. "I'll text you tomorrow."

"Text me and let me know what he says!" Shea told her as Savannah made her way towards the door. She waved goodbye to Shea and Audrey, bidding them goodnight before heading out the door to her car. She glanced at her watch to see it was 11:47 pm and she debated calling Tyler or just waiting until the morning. She knew putting it off right now wasn't going to make it any easier. She was in the wrong, something she didn't like to admit very often. But, she had overreacted just like Shea had said.

She waited until she got home at least to call him. She checked the time one more time. 12:14. Was it too late? She didn't allow herself to second guess as she pressed the button to dial is number. "Hello?" she heard a half sleepy voice say.

"Um…hey," she said lamely.

"Savannah, why are you calling me?" he asked. He didn't seem mad, just curious.

"Is that offer to go out on a date still on the table?" She didn't get nervous, it was something that made her good at her job. But, right now, her heart was racing. She wasn't good at things like this.

"No," he answered.

"Oh. Okay. Sorry to call you," she said, completely embarrassed she had called him.

"Savannah," he said, a slight laugh to his voice. She hesitated hanging up the phone, wondering what he was going to say. "No, me asking you out is not still on the table. But, if you want to go out, then be the woman and ask me on a date."

A smile formed on Savannah's lips as she shook her head. He was giving her shit, just like Audrey said he would. "Tyler Seguin, will you go out with me?"

"Aww, I thought you'd never ask!" he said with extra fake enthusiasm. "Where are you going to take me?" he continued.

"Shut up," she said with a laugh.

"Just remember, I don't put out on the first date," he told her.

"Stop it or I'll cancel this date before it even begins," she threatened, but she couldn't help but have a lightness in her voice.

"What made you change your mind?" he asked, his voice turning more serious.

She paused. "You may have been right, I push people away because I'm used to having to prove that I don't need other people to get things done," she said honestly.

"Well, if you want to bring home the bacon, I'm all for being a stay at home husband," he joked.

Savannah chuckled. "Let's start with a date first," she told him.

"When are you free?"

She thought about her work schedule. "I'm off of work Sunday."

"I've got a game."

"So that's a no."

"Hold your horses!" Tyler told her. "It's an early game. One o'clock start I think. How about you come to the game and then we can go out afterwards," he suggested. "I'm sure I can get you a ticket with Alex. She usually comes to the weekend games."

Savannah hadn't ever been to an NHL game, but this seemed like a good opportunity to go. "Sure," she told him.

"Better plan a damn good date with me, Savannah," he said, and she could practically hear the grin on his face. "I'm not a cheap date."

"Goodnight, Tyler," she told him with a light laugh.

"Goodnight, Savannah."

So happy that she's not too hurt. so happy she told him that she needed him. he needs her too. it was huge that she admitted she needed him and for her to cry. and I loved that she called his place home and wanted to go to his house without being asked by tyler. love these two.
