The next morning Madison woke up finding Kris still sleeping. He looked so peaceful. She lays there for a minute watching him. She finely gets up to get changed.
Kris wakes up feeling her move.
"Good morning baby." Kris says.

"Will you help me shower now. I want to shower before breakfast." Kris says.

She helps him up. Takes off his brace gently and slowly helps him into the shower. They both strip out of their clothes and Madison turns on the water before helping him inside.
She grabs his shampoo and starts to gently lather it in his hair.

She lets him do it while she lathers her hair.
Kris finished his hair and then washes his body. Madison does the same. She lets him rinse his hair and body first. Once he was done she stood under the water and rinsed her hair and body.

Kris starts his rehab session. They had him walk a few flights of stairs. Then they took him into the gym and had him walk on the treadmill. Things were doing well. He was in no pain. After the treadmill the went over exercises to do to help make the neck muscles stronger.
Kris was happy still no pain. They told him if things went well in his next two sessions then he would be able to go home on Wednesday. That made him happy. He missed his bed and missed just being home.
He heads back to his room and sits in the chair. A little bit later Madison walks in with Liz and Micah.

Micah hugs him gently.
Kris wraps his arms around him hugging him back.
"Hope it's okay that we dropped by?" Liz says.
"It's fine you and Micah are welcome here anytime." Madison says.
"good." Liz says.
"How did rehab go?" Madison asks Kris.
"Well no pain. I went up and down steps and walked on the tread mil. Also they thought me exercises to build up my neck muscles. Oh and they said if my next to sessions go well I can go home Wednesday." Kris says.
"That is awesome baby." Madison says.
"Yeah I know." Kris says.
"I am happy for you Kris." Liz says.
"Thanks." Kris says.
"So how are you doing?" Liz asks Madison.
"Doing good. Pregnancy is going well. Oh speaking of that we have some exciting news." Madison says.
"Don't tell her." Kris mouths to her but Madison don't see him.
"What is that." Liz asks.
"We are having twins." Madison says happy.

Kris winces knowing that was still a sore topic of Liz. It still stung a little for him too.
"Oh wow I am happy for you." Liz says hugging her.
"Thanks. I am happy too." Madison says.
"Does that mean I get a brother and a sister?" Micah asks.
"Or two brothers or two sisters." Kris says to him.
"Awesome." Micah says.
"Are you okay?" Madison asks seeing Liz looking a little upset.
"Yeah I am fine." Liz says smiling.
"Okay." Madison says.
They stay a little longer before Liz all but drags Micah away from Kris promising him that when he was home he could spend the night with them.
After they leave Madison helps Kris get ready for bed.
"What was wrong with Liz?" Madison asks as they were lying in bed together.
"Not long before our marriage imploded Liz suffered a miscarriage. She was 13 weeks pregnant with our twins. It happened while we were away playing in the playoffs. I didn't find out about it until after we won the cup. Needless to say I was hurt she didn't tell me when it happened. We fought said some things that we didn't mean and I ended up crashing at Sid's. Our marriage never recovered from that. However we have been friends so long we apologized and forgave each other and vowed that we would always be friends and raise our wonderful incredible son together." Kris says tears rolling down his cheeks.
"Oh my god and here I go throwing that we are having twins in her face. So close to when it happened." Madison says.
"It's okay baby you didn't know." Kris says.
"I knew about the miscarriage I just didn't know that it was twins." Madison says.
"It's okay Liz will be okay." Kris says.
"I am sorry baby." Madison says kissing him gently wiping away his tears.
"It's fine. Liz won't hold it against you." Kris says.
"I hope not." Madison says.

Kris fell asleep but Madison laid awake upset that she hurt Liz. She really considered her to be a wonderful friend possibly a best friend and she hurt her. She would find away to make it up to her.
