The Captain and the Rockstar

Chapter 3

Monday afternoon came fast and it was time for Aly to get back into the studio to lay down three new tracks for her album. It was hard for her to focus on songwriting and hitting certain high notes because the time with Chris was still in the back of her head. She still couldn't believe she slept with the captain of the Rangers, especially with her music career taking off.

Aly arrived to the studio and saw her producers there with the newspaper in front of them, "Uh, hi y'all. What's going on?"

Ashley shook her head, "THIS is what's going on. The tabloids have pictures of you and Rangers captain Chris Kreider going into his apartment together after Saturday's session. What the hell?"

"No no, it's nothing. I was leaving the studio and he bumped me. He wanted to make sure I was okay and we had dinner, nothing more," Aly said. She felt guilty lying, but knew she'd be in big trouble had they really know the truth.

Ben Hayslip, another one of Aly's producers sighed, "Please tell me the truth."

"Ben, I am. Chris and I had dinner at his place, we watched The Sandlot, and he took me home. Nothing happened," Aly insisted.

Ashley nodded, "We believe you. Come on, we have the place until 3. We can get some good work in."

Aly felt terrible lying to her friends and producers, but being with Chris was so magical and she really wanted to see him again.

Meanwhile, at the MSG Training Center in Tarrytown, Chris was working out with head coach David Quinn and four other teammates. In order to prevent serious coronavirus spread, the on-ice training was extremely limited for now.

Center Ryan Strome skated over to Kreids, "Hey pal, missed ya! How was quarantine?"

"Not too shabby. It was nice seeing my parents and family that I don't see too much during that time. Congrats on baby girl Harper," Chris smiled.

"Thanks man, nothing like being a dad. How are you and Francesca?" Ryan asked.

Chris felt himself stuttering, "Oh, uh, I ended it back in April before my birthday. We were fighting a lot because she really wants to get married and I honestly fell out of love with her."

"Dude, I'm sorry," Ryan frowned.

Coach Quinn blew his whistle, "Stromers, Kreids, enough chit chat. The next group comes on in twenty minutes. Drills, now!"

Chris was relieved that Ryan didn't ask about the reports of him and Aly together, but knew it would come up sooner or later.

That night, Aly was on video call with her best friend Maddie who lives in Ontario, Canada. Maddie was due to fly in and watch Aly record her album, but due to the virus, it was hard for travel and many restrictions were put in place.

"Ugh, girl, I wish I was there with you. How's the album coming along?" Maddie asked.

Aly nodded, "Good, good. We got four tracks down and I'm back there again in two days."

Maddie knew something was wrong with her friend, "What's on your mind?"

"Well, you know my favorite hockey player, Chris Kreider? Well, we bumped into each other on Saturday, we went to his place and had dinner, and we kinda fooled around," Aly confessed. She knew she could tell her best friend anything and everything.

Maddie's jaw was on the floor, "You got to fuck your favorite athlete!? Damn girl."

"But the tabloids picked up on us hanging out, and my label wanted to know if we did anything. I had to lie to them because my career is taking off and they could drop me if they knew. I couldn't tell," Aly admitted.

"You did the right thing. Look, I gotta go but make yourself some green tea, put on your favorite show and relax tonight. I love you so much and you're my very best friend. You're gonna be okay," Maddie assured before signing off.

As Aly closed her laptop, a knock came at her door. She looked through the peephole and saw Chris before opening up, "Hey."

Chris handed her pink and yellow carnations, "These are for you."

"Chris, that's so sweet. Please come in," Aly blushed before closing the door and getting some water for her flowers.

"D-Did you see the paper this morning?" Chris nervously asked.

Aly sighed and turned to him, "Yeah, I did, and my label asked if we did anything."

"Oh god, what!? What did you say?" Chris worried.

"I lied to them and told them we didn't do anything except have dinner and watch a movie. I can't tell them the truth, at least, not now. They would drop me and my career is really taking off, faster than we expected," Aly answered.

Chris scoffed, "So now what? We just pretend our fling never happened. They will find out."

"Yeah, only if someone says something. I'm not gonna say I slept with the captain of the New York Rangers. Are you insane!?" Aly yelled.

For some reason, the arguing was building up both tenseness and heat. The two of them stared at each other like lions hunting their dinner. Chris pulled her by the hands and pinned her against the wall leading to her bedroom, ripping off her blouse and kissing her neck, "You smell like vanilla, mmm, I love it."

Aly wanted to deny him, wanted to shove him off, but she just couldn't do it. She ran her fingers through his silky brown hair, "God damn it, I want you." She was able to pull down his pants and boxers, leaving him fully exposed.

Chris used his knee to spread her legs, yanked off her pajama shorts and quickly inserted himself inside her, "Well, someone was a little hot."

"Just shut up and fuck me," Aly moaned against his lips before their tongues soon found one another, the moments of passion increasing ever so fast.

Aly knew she was going to have to come clean about this fling, but how would both her label and his team's front office take it!? Could a relationship come out of this, or were they simply one-night stands!?
