*April's POV*

A loud knock on the door startled me as I was unpacking the china in the kitchen while Logan took a nap.
“Coming!” I yelled making my way over to the door. As soon as I opened the door my brother barged through and headed straight for the living room.

“Well sure come right on in” I said sarcastically.

“Sorry, he's a little excited” Phil said from the doorway laughing at his boyfriend.

“What's going on?” I asked closing the door as Phil and I made our way to the living room.

“Shh just watch” Tyler said pointing to the TV.

Gary Bettman and Donald Fehr announced today that the NHL lockout is officially over and in a matter of days the fans can get back to watching some hockey.

“Oh my god! You guys can start playing again!” I exclaimed hugging my clearly excited brother and Phil.

“Man it's been a long three months” My brother sighed sitting down on the couch.

“Hey what time did the guys say they were coming again?” Phil asked Tyler as he took a seat in one of the bar stools in front of the island.

“Dion and the gang said they'd be over in 10, and uhh Kuley, Gunnar and Grabo are coming together and they said they'd be over in 5 and JVR said he'd be over in fifteen.”

“Woah woah woah, what are you guys talking about?” I questioned.

“Were gonna celebrate.” my brother replied.

“Why here?” I asked

“Why not?” He countered.

I opened my mouth to say something but a knock on the door interrupted me. I trudged over to open the door and was greeted by Kuley, Grabo and Gunnar.

“April!” they all shouted in unison wrapping me up in a hug.

“Boys!” I laughed returning the hug before closing the door behind them as they went into the living room.

Просто прекрасно, как насчет вас? (Just fine, how about you?) I answered as we made our way over to the couch.

Я хорoшо, как были ваши путешествия? (I'm good, how were your travels?) he replied greeting Bozie and Phil before plopping himself on the couch.

Захватывающие, как дела Натали, и дети? (Exciting, how are Natalie and the kids?) I said about to sit down with him just as there was a loud rap at the door.

I got up to open the door and apparently whoever was at the door was anxious as I heard several loud raps.

“I'm coming hold your horses!” I shouted making my way to the door, opening it to Franny, Naz, Lups, Gards, Matt and Dion.

“Hello idiots.” I said a smile playing around my lips.

“Idiots?! Is that what we are to you? Idiots?” Lups said feigning mock hurt.

“Yeah, but your my idiots.” I said now smiling.

“May your idiots come in?” Dion asked earning a chuckle from the rest of us.

“Of course you can come in.” I said stepping aside to let them through.

“We've missed you around here, good to have you back” Dion said wrapping me in a hug so tight that I couldn't breathe.

“Your breaking my back dude.” I said straining.

“Oh sorry” he chuckled letting go as I caught my breath.

“It's okay” I said breathlessly turning to close the door behind Dion when a black shoe was wedged between the door. I looked up to see James standing there with a small smile.

“James” I said surprised, hoping that it didn't show in my voice. I didn't know why but I had an odd feeling around him, like I got when I was with Logan for the first couple of weeks.

Oh my god April! You just met the guy you barely know him. Besides your in relationship and your happy with Logan. Aren't you?

I pushed the thoughts out of my mind and let James in before closing the door behind him.

*JVR's POV*
“James” She said at my sudden appearance, she seemed to get lost in her thoughts before she let me inside.

“Sorry about that” I apologized nervously shoving my hand in my pockets.

“It's alright” She said making her way over to the couch sitting down.

“Sit” she urged tapping the spot beside her lightly.

“So tell me about yourself” she said smiling giving me her undivided attention.

“Uhh well there's really not much to tell I'm 23 years old from Middletown New Jersey, graduated from the University of New Hampshire” I said before adding “Your turn” I said intrigued to learn more about the girl that had been holding me prisoner to her.

“I'm 22 years old, I turn 23 in a little over three months, I just graduated from Oxford University majoring in physical therapy. Umm some fun facts I guess you already know this but I love to play music Piano, guitar, drums etc. I can speak seven different languages” she finished leaving me in awe probably making a complete fool of myself.

“7 different languages?” I asked in disbelief trying to wrap my head around it.

“It's not that big of a deal” she said dismissively her cheeks getting red.

“Objection! I think that a HUGE deal” I said causing her to laugh which in response made me laugh.

“I mean how did you learn so many languages, your so young?” I continued

“Well okay the French I learned in school the Russian, German, and Swedish I had some help from the boys” she started gesturing to where Ty was conversing with Gunnar, Kuley and Grabo “Spanish and Portuguese are pretty similar and I had a lot of Arab speaking friends growing up” She explained and in turn naming all the languages.

“Wow I'm sorry but I think that just insane” I breathed out.

“It's alright, I guess I don't really think that there is much to it since I'm the one that speaks them but I get it.” she replied smiling her beautiful smile.

The rest of the afternoon consisted of April and I getting to know each other a bit better and before I knew it the sun was already down and it was 8pm. The guys had made plans to go out to the Keg tomorrow before we had to get to training camp in a couple of days.

“Hey April would you like to join us tomorrow were heading over to the Keg?”

“Sure” she replied smiling.
“Great, see you there.” I said before turning to head out the door and smiling like a complete idiot.
