A Favor for a Friend

I was right about the amount asleep I could get to make the flight on time, because it was boarding when I got out there. After I sprinted through the airport.... I handed my ticket to flight attendant and boarded the plane. I hadn't even looked at the seat number yet.

It wasn't actually a surprise when he got me a first class ticket. Damn right be should making me function like this on half an hour of sleep. At least I would have the entire flight to sleep. Thankfully that was a few hours.

The flight went by quickly, especially because I slept through it. That was great though. I hate flying. I got off the plane and turned on my phone to check my messages. There were a few from family asking if I landed safely and one from Sid asking the same and also to call him when I got off.

I answered the rest of my messages and then called Sid. He didn't take more than a moment to answer.

"Are you off the plane?" he said immediately.

"Well hello to you too, and yes I am." I laughed as I walked through the airport with my suitcase.

"Good! I'm right outside, trust me you can't miss me. Half the team is here." he said, I could hear the others in the background.

"I'm coming out now. See you in a second." I hung the phone up and shoved it in my pocket.

I walked outside and glanced around. It was just as cold as I remembered it, not that Canada is any better. It was a lot more windy here though, which wasn't helping my already bad hair day.

A finally spotted Sidney and a few of the others. It wasn't hard to recognize them. I am a Penguins fan of course. It was none other than Evgeni Malkin, James Neal, and Marc-Andre Fleury. Probably the best known Penguins of the team.

"Sidney" I yelled over, not caring who stared at me for it.

"Lili!" he called back when he saw me.

"Screw you." I said when I got over to him. "Don't call me that."

"But I like it. It fits you." he said with an innocent look on his face.

"Whatever, I have had very little sleep and I am not in the mood to argue with you." I said shaking my head.

"Better rest up then, you're meeting the rest of the guys tonight after the game." he said.

"Who are you playing?" I asked.

"The Flyers." he responded.

"Fun." I said sarcastically. I never was a fan of the Flyers.

"Oh, let me introduce you. Even though you probably know them. Geno, Nealer and Flower." he said pointing to each of them.

"Nice to meet you guys, I'm Aliyah." I said with a polite smile.

"Trust me, we know. Sid hasn't shut up about you all day." Fleury said.

"Thanks, Flower." Sid mumbled. "Anyway, lets go. Got to get to the arena on time." he said taking my bag from me and walking towards the car.
