Dangeruss & Tazer

Chapter 18

Jermaine Kearse was grabbed from the trunk of the transport car. He was boiling with fury. He tried to shake himself free from the grips of the two villains, but they held him tightly. “Come on, what is this? Can’t we talk like civilized men?”

“No.”

“Please?”

“No.”

“Well, was kidnapping me necessary?”

“Yes.”

“Talk to me dammit! I hate one word answers.”

“Tough shit.”

Jermaine was led into the warehouse and shoved into a chair. The Seahawk wide receiver fought with his restraints, trying to get his arms free. The blindfold was finally removed from his head and he could see the building that he was in. He wasn’t sure where, but he saw the massive inside of a warehouse.

“Where am I? What is this? What’s going on?” Jermaine demanded to know, shifting in the chair, to get comfortable. Though it was pretty impossible with his arms tied behind his back.

Avery and Crabtree rounded the football player like hungry sharks.

“It’s best for you not to know the answer to that, Mr. Kearse. But we will let you know that this isn’t about you,” Crabtree sneered.

The two stopped before him and now that he was able to, he made out the top of a cage. It was definitely too big for an animal. He felt his heart beating in his chest. What was going on here? What was in the cage? He tried to see, but he didn’t have x-ray vision to see through the pair.

“It’s actually about him!” Avery turned and pointed his index finger to the cage.

Now they moved and Jermaine gazed into the cage. He saw a shaggy blonde haired man tied to a chair. He was bleeding and he was gagged with tape. His head hung low, concealing his face, but as soon as he heard Avery introducing him, he glanced up. Jermaine gasped as he looked into a pair of shiny, terrified blue eyes.

“Jermaine ‘Chop Chop’ Kearse, meet our sweet, innocent, little Blackhawk hostage, Patrick Kane, or as we like to call him, ‘Kanerboo’!” Avery sneered, as he entered the metal bar prison and ruffled Patrick’s hair, making him flinch.

“Patrick Kane?” Jermaine mouthed, unable to put his voice to the question his lips formed.

The ex-hockey goon grabbed the blonde man’s face with one hand, pinching his cheeks between his index and middle fingers and thumb. Patrick moaned behind the adhesive, unamused. “Ain’t he just the cutest thing?” He made his captive’s head move up and down in a “yes” motion and produced another low humming noise out of the blonde.

“Why is he bound and gagged like that?” the Seahawk questioned, curiously. He was stalling, which was good. It might provide him some leverage. Someone must have seen him being taken from the house.

“Lil Kanerboo, here, decided back in 2010 that he wanted to get extremely drunk off his ass and cause a scene. That scene was picking a fight with me. I tried to warn him not to do it, but he pestered me into it and he hurt me!”

Patrick’s eyes narrowed and he let off a sharp humming noise, full of anger. Avery sent him a glaring look, that made the man instantly snap back into worry and fear. He now whimpered.

“Anyway, basically, this kid picked a fight with me for no reason and humiliated me. So I found the NFL equivalent of me, here, Mr. Michael Crabtree and we came up with a little plan to kidnap the Chicago goal scorer and make him pay!”

“But that’s no reason to kidnap him?!”

“It’s EVERY reason to kidnap him, Jermaine!” Crabtree snarled.

“No, it isn’t. He didn’t kill you or murder your family. He just made a bad decision, but I take it he has learned and matured! That is NOT an excuse to kidnap someone!”

“You aren’t labeled as the worst NHL player ever to grace the ice. The terrifying Sean Avery! The name who can be said in the NHL like Lord Voldemort! My name strikes fear into everyone and nobody likes me! And they said that I started the fight, that I beat up the brave, innocent Patrick Kane! That I instigated it and almost harmed the precious Chicago goal scorer!” He brought his hand across Patrick’s face, making him howl behind the rectangle.

Jermaine winced, feeling sympathy for the hockey player. He watched Avery tear Patrick from the bonds of the chair and fling him into the bars of the cage, where he hit with a sickening clang sound and crashed to the ground. He saw Patrick trembling, as he pushed himself upward into a sitting position and then made to remove the tape from his mouth, before the big goon stomped forward and threw his arm out. His massive fingers wrapped around Patrick’s tinier wrists, halting him in place.

“Don’t you dare!” the big man growled in a threat.

“Mmese!” Patrick begged, as his arm was wrenched down to his side.

Jermaine wanted to help the poor blonde guy out. He didn’t seem very harmless and the poor blonde guy looked absolutely petrified. The football player worked on the ropes binding his wrists, but they only seemed to tighten around his skin. He watched as Sean brought his hand, powerfully across Patrick’s, sending him back to the floor.

He landed on his side and placed his palms face down on the floor, but not before he was grabbed by his blue shirt’s collar and yanked back to his feet. The goon slammed him into the metal bars, pressing his face against one of the hard, cold surfaces. Then he pulled him back and threw him, carelessly back into the chair.

“Crabtree, tell him to stop! Crabs, I know you aren’t like this! You’re a good player for the 49ers! Don’t throw that away to the wind! Let us go!” Jermaine attempted.

Crabtree jerked his head to the football player, blocking out the horror scene of Avery and Patrick Kane in the cage. He stormed up to the Seahawk and spat in his face. Literally. Jermaine blinked, grossed out, but also bewildered.

“Don’t tell me what to do, Chop Chop!”

“He did this, didn’t he? That ugly ass goon did this to you! He turned you into something you’re not, just so he could get some sick, illegal revenge on an innocent athlete!”

Crabtree suddenly grabbed Jermaine by the throat. “You’d best stop mouthing off, lest you want to join Kanerboo’s tape club!”

“You’re a good man, Michael, please.”

“You don’t know me, Seahawk!” He pressed Jermaine’s head backward, applying pressure to his neck, but then released him. He only made the football player cough hoarsely a few times, before he spun around and returned to watching the scene in the cage.

Jermaine watched as the poor hockey player was trussed up once more. Patrick was at the door of the cage, his face pressed between two of the metal bars and he was peering out at the football player. His blue eyes shimmered in the dim light and were ignited in trepidation. They seemed to formulate his thoughts and his words, which his mouth could not. They begged and pleaded Jermaine to help him out. It broke the Seahawk’s heart to see him in so much fear.

Patrick’s arms were snatched and wrenched behind his back, where they were roughly pinned and bound together. Jermaine saw Avery pull the knot extra tight, cackling evilly as he did so. Patrick flinched and tried to put up a fight, but instead he was seized and shoved back to the chair. He landed on his hands, which shot pain through him and the Seahawk winced again, feeling his pain.

Avery whipped out his roll of tape and he ripped off a fresh rectangle, which he swapped with the old one, ripping that one from his victim’s face.

“Avery, stop this----” he managed to get out, before the new piece was applied and smoothed over his pale lips.

“Poor Lil Kanerboo, can’t speak, can’t fight, can’t do anything!” Avery teased, before withdrawing and getting to his feet. The man placed the roll back in its spot and he left Patrick, once more, bound at the hands and gagged with the tape.

He left the cage and came up to Jermaine, who gulped nervously.

“Should we put him in the cage with Kaner?” Crabtree asked.

Avery looked at the Seahawk, trying to gain an answer for that. But he eventually shook his head. “Put him in front of the cage and tie him down to the chair or bind his feet, so he can’t escape. I’m going to go give our little heroes a call.”

Jermaine shivered, as he saw Avery smirk darkly and give a low, deep villain chuckle. The hockey player then briskly walked off and Crabtree grabbed the chair with the Seahawk and pushed it forward, positioning him right in front of the door of the cage.

Patrick was watching with wide, watery blue eyes. He looked so weak and innocent. Dare the Seahawk have even thought of him as looking cute. No, cute wasn't the right word, he was adorable.

The 49er squatted down and bound Jermaine’s legs together at his ankles and then again, below his knees and made sure both knots were pulled extra tight, so that he couldn’t get out of the chair, without falling on his face. Then the bad guy got to his feet and walked off after his friend leaving the two of them to “bond.”

Notes

OMG I got like this mental image of what Kaner looks like in the last part, when he watches Jermaine and awwwwwwwwwwww. Please tell me that if anyone of you saw him like this, you wouldn't refuse the urge to go and embrace him?
He's sooooooooo adorable............Poor Kanerboo!!!!
Avery and Crabtree are freaking dicks man. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, I want to punch Avery in the face and save Kaner!!
Okay, with that out of the way, I'm going to have one more chapter come up today I think. It's time for the media hounds to get attacked....so to Sharpy and Mike Rob we go!
