Savannah waited on Alex to get to her apartment to take the two of them to the Stars game. Shea and Audrey were going to meet them there since Audrey was going to get off of work late, and they'd come straight to the game.

Dominic had surprised her by stopping by a little bit ago after he had left work, just to check in on her. It actually meant a lot to her when he said they were waiting on her back at work. It just proved to her that he really did believe she was of value to the team.

She pulled at the sleeves of the jersey she was wearing. She contemplated not wearing one and instead wearing a basic Stars t-shirt instead, but Alex had convinced her through the group text that she should wear a jersey, as she was turning into a real Stars fan after all.

Alex got there a few minutes later, apologizing for being a little late, but Savannah shrugged her off. "It'll be nice to have a girls night out," she told her. "It's been forever since we've all been together for a night."

"Yeah, someone is too busy with Segs," Alex joked, pushing Savannah's shoulder with her own.
"Shut up," Savannah replied, but a small smile betrayed her. Alex responded with a grin of her own.

"So, how are things going between you two?" Alex asked as they got in her car and she made the familiar drive to the stadium. She went to as many home games as she could since she began dating Jamie, so she could practically drive there with her eyes closed at this point.

Savannah shrugged. "Fine, I mean we're just figuring things out as we go."

"Jamie says he's pretty into you," Alex commented.

Savannah rolled her eyes. "Yeah, I'm sure he's into every girl that's in his bed," she said sarcastically.

"Look, I've know Segs for over a year now, and I can honestly tell you I've never seen him like this with any woman. He was really worried when you were in the car accident and went to the hospital," she told her.

Savannah sighed. "He doesn't think I can take care of myself."

Alex shook her head. "I don't think that's it. I think he just wants to know you're okay. Whether that's you taking care of yourself or you letting him in a little bit and letting him to take care of you." Savannah didn't say anything, instead just looking straight ahead out the window. "It's okay to let someone take care of you sometimes, Van."

"Can we talk about something else?" Savannah requested.

Alex got the hint as she made a right turn. They were almost to the stadium by now. "He's going to be really excited to see you in his jersey," she commented.

Savannah laughed. "I'm just one of like a thousand in there."

"He'll pick you out of the crowd, trust me," she said as they were waved into one of the parking lots that was adjacent to the arena. Savannah stared out the window, refusing to let Alex see the smile that was creeping across her face, as much as she tried to stop it.

Alex easily parked and turned the ignition off. "You think Audrey and Shea are here yet?" Savannah asked, stepping out of the car and pulling her jersey down over her waist. It was slightly too big for her, but she made it work by pairing it with black leggings and just bunching up the sleeves in her hands.

"Let's find out," Alex replied, walking towards Will Call to get the tickets. They easily got them and then made their way towards their seats, finding their friends already there. "Hey!" Alex called out as she climbed over a few of the other girlfriends and wives to get to their seats.

Savannah could feel people's eyes on her, and she didn't like it. She wasn't sure if it was because she was having difficulty stepping over people due to her leg injury or because she was there for Tyler. Either way, she didn't like it, and she just wanted to get down to her seat as quickly as possible.

"Look at that Seguin jersey!" Shea called out, and Savannah rolled her eyes. Leave it to her sister to make a comment about the jersey. "How are you feeling?" she asked as Savannah sat down next to her.

"I'm fine," Savannah gave her classic answer, but when she saw the look on Shea's face, she knew that she wanted a more extensive answer. "Tyler wouldn't let me do anything to make anything worse. He's worse than you," she muttered.

Shea smiled at her. "Good, that's what he's supposed to do."

"He's totally looking at you right now," Audrey said, and Savannah looked down at the ice to find Tyler standing there, indeed looking up at her with a grin on his face. He wasn't trying to hide it at all.

"What do you have planned after the game?" Alex asked Savannah. She knew they must have had plans if she asked to carpool in together.

"I don't actually know," Savannah admitted. "We're going to try to get in a second date before he left for the road trip. But, tonight was pretty much the only night, and obviously there's not a lot that's open after the game."

"So date night in," Alex replied. "Jamie and I do that a lot."

"Aka post-game sex," Shea laughed.

"No!" Alex exclaimed.

"You're such a liar!" Shea argued.

"Ladies, you're causing a scene," Audrey pointed out, and everyone looked down to see a few of the wives and girlfriends staring their way.

"Shit, we're not going to be invited back," Shea muttered.

"You're not going to be invited back, Shea," Savannah corrected her. Shea gave her a confused look. "You and Alex are causing the scene. And Alex is dating the captain, she's going to be allowed back," she clarified with a laugh.

Shea sat in silence, not being able to argue that point. "So back to your date," she changed subjects. "This is big date number two, that's a big deal!"

Savannah shrugged. "Eh, not a big deal."

"Tyler Seguin going on a second date? Yeah that's a big deal," Alex piped up.

Savannah didn't know how to respond to that and was grateful when the lights lowered to get ready to announce the starting lineup. Her eyes stayed glued to the ice, and she couldn't help but get a little giddy when she saw Tyler skate onto the ice and heard the eruption of cheers from the crowd. He really was a fan favorite, and Savannah knew she was pretty lucky he'd chosen to go on not one but two dates with her. She still was weary about dating him. He was known for one night stands, not relationships, so she wasn't sure how this would turn out.

She enjoyed the game with her friends, much more than if she had gone on her own. Hockey still wasn't a sport she understood completely, but she was sure that if she continued to attend games, she'd pick it up eventually.

This game was a lot different than the first one she'd attended, with the Stars gaining a 3-0 lead in the first period. Tyler seemed to be skating around with a little bit of excitement to him. Savannah couldn't help but smile when he celebrated with his teammates after every goal.

As soon as the third period ended, he looked up in her direction, and Savannah could have sworn he lifted his hand towards her as if to say "see you soon".

She took her time to get down to the locker room area. She first said goodbye to Audrey and Shea, who were headed home. And then she and Alex walked downstairs. "That was a good game," Alex commented as they walked.

Savannah nodded her head. "I haven't had to face him after a loss yet, so that's good," she laughed. "How bad is it after a loss?"

"It depends," Alex said. "Like if it's just a loss in the middle of a relatively good streak, then Jamie is okay. If it's in the middle of a long losing streak, then it's awful," she explained. "Just be glad they're doing well and they won tonight. Segs will be in a good mood. Not to mention, he gets to go out with you now. Any idea what you're going to do for your official second date?" she asked excitedly.

Savannah shrugged. "Probably just dinner somewhere. I don't even know where's open."

"I'm sure Segs will have an idea," Alex said.

"I don’t know, he's been making me be in charge of dates and stuff."

Alex looked over at her. "Well, you do like to be in charge," she teased.

"Shut up!" Savannah exclaimed. "Hey, there's your man," she pushed Alex with her shoulder, pointing Jamie out as if Alex couldn't see him walking out of the locker room all dressed up in the suit he'd worn to the game.

Savannah smiled as Jamie walked up and gave Alex a kiss, putting his arm around her waist. "Segs is finishing getting ready. Something about a hot date or something?" he laughed.

"You want us to wait with you?" Alex offered.

Savannah shook her head. "No, I'll be good," she said. "Have a good night, I'll text you later," she assured her. Alex gave her a wave goodbye before taking Jamie's hand in hers and walking out with him.

Savannah stood there for another ten minutes, watching every other player leave the locker room. She pulled her phone out, texting Tyler. Should I be concerned you're still in the locker room?

She didn't get a response for another five minutes and was just about to text the girls when Tyler finally walked out. "Damn, what took you so long? You have a girl in there?" she joked.

"No, I have a girl right here," he said, putting his hands on her waist and giving her a quick kiss. "So about this second date."

"Look, I'll admit I don't have anything planned," she told him.

"Good, because I do," he said, a grin forming on his face.

Savannah looked up at him. "You do?" He nodded in response. "Where are we going?"

"You're already there," he said cryptically.

"Wait, what?" she asked him, thoroughly confused. "We're there?"

"Yeah, come on," he said, grabbing her hand.

She followed him and found herself back out in the main part of the arena by the ice. "What are we doing here?"

"Dinner's over there," he said, pointing to the stands, where Savannah could see some sort of set up across the ice. "And then I'm going to teach you to skate," he added with a smile on his face, obviously impressed with his own idea for the date.

So happy that she's not too hurt. so happy she told him that she needed him. he needs her too. it was huge that she admitted she needed him and for her to cry. and I loved that she called his place home and wanted to go to his house without being asked by tyler. love these two.
