Savannah's head hurt. So did her broken left wrist and her majorly sprained left knee. Her mind drifted back to three hours before that when she had been undercover and just about to take down Bartholomew and Junior. She knew she was in over her head, and though she wanted to do this on her own to prove to everyone she could do it, she knew she needed to call in backup. So, she pushed the button on her phone to call Liam just as Junior went in for the punch to her head.

She wasn't knocked completely out, but she did stumble backwards. She steadied herself just before Bartholomew came after her, but she was able to jump to her left, falling directly on her outstretched arm. She reached for her gun, but just as she got it in her hands, Junior kicked it away. "Shit," she muttered, knowing she was in so much trouble, and for the first time she wondered if she was going to make it out alive.

Bartholomew proceeded to first kick her in her leg and then in her head again. This time she blacked out.

She came to some time later to see Dominic pointing his gun at the two men. She saw Junior reach behind him, and without thinking, Savannah leaped up and tackled him to the ground. She felt a sharp pain in her knee, but she ignored it. As Bartholomew raced to try to help Junior from Savannah's grasp, Dominic shot him in the leg, slowing him down.

Liam came out of nowhere, assisting with taking down Junior, while Dominic got Bartholomew. Savannah felt a sense of accomplishment watching the duo get arrested just before she felt a darkness overwhelm her and she collapsed to the ground once again.
She woke up in the hospital to doctors all around her. Dominic and Liam were both in the room with her. "Thank God," she heard Dominic say.

"Did we get them back?" she asked, caring more about catching Bartholomew and Junior than anything else.

Liam nodded his head. "Yeah, we did."

"They're in jail," Dominic confirmed.

Savannah tried to sit up, but her head hurt too much when she tried to move. "Good," she mumbled.

"Do you want us to call your sister?" Dominic offered.

"I will. She needs to hear my voice to know I'm okay," Savannah told them. Dominic and Liam agreed and gave her her cell phone that she must have dropped when trying to take down Junior, as it now had a cracked screen. She frowned when she saw it didn't work. "Can I use one of your phones?" she asked. Liam offered up his phone, and she punched in Shea's number.

Shea answered the phone immediately. "Hello?"

"Hey, Shea," she greeted her.

"Oh thank God, Van, you're okay!" Shea exclaimed.

"Yeah, I'm okay. We caught them," she told her sister, knowing that Shea would understand how much that meant to her. "Um…is Tyler there?" she asked. She hadn't realized how much she wanted to tell him she was okay right now. That she was alive. And not to rub it into his face. She needed him. Needed to see him. Needed to talk to him. Needed him to hold her. She just needed him.

"Yeah, he's here," Shea said.

A moment later Tyler was on the phone. "Savannah?"

Her heart skipped a beat hearing his voice. "Ty?" She could swear her heart had completely stopped beating at this point. She needed him, and she hoped he wouldn't ignore her again. "Will you come get me? I need you." She let her wall down and admitted she needed someone else.

"Where are you?" he asked, and she breathed a sigh of relief.

"The hospital," she answered.

"I'm on my way," he said.

Suddenly, Shea was back on the phone. "You're in the hospital!?" she exclaimed.

"Oh my God, are you okay, Van?" Alex's voice rang out. Savannah assumed Shea had put her on speaker phone at this point.

"Yeah, I'm a little beat up," she downplayed her injuries.

"Segs is on his way. He bolted out of here. Do you want us to come, too, or do you want some time with him?" Alex asked.

"Can I just talk to him first? I need to tell him I'm sorry," she told them. She could almost hear them both say "aww" in unison.

"Text me when you want us to come," Shea told her.

"Uh, I can't. My phone is broken," she told them.

"Tell Ty to text us when you want us to come," Alex suggested.

"Okay, thanks guys. I'll see you later."

She hung up the phone, giving it back to Liam. She could have sworn five minutes went by before Tyler came running into the room, even though it had be at least solid fifteen miles away from wherever they had been. The other two men quietly left the room, giving Savannah and Tyler some space.

He stood above her at the foot of her bed looking down at her, not saying a word. Savannah's breath caught in her throat. The last time they had seen each other, he had purposely ignored her. Now he wasn't saying anything again. "God, I'm so happy you're okay," he finally said, leaning down and kissing her forehead. "You scared the shit out of me," he muttered, keeping his head against hers.

"I'm sorry," she apologized, truly meaning it. "It's my job," she added softly. Tyler didn't say anything, and without warning, she broke down in tears.

He took a step back to really look at her. She reached up with her uninjured hand to wipe away the tears. This wasn't her. She didn't cry, especially in front of other people. But everything she had been through had been so emotionally draining, and she trusted Tyler enough to let her guard down in front of him.

He crouched down so he was eye level with her, looking her directly in the eyes. "I'm just happy you're safe," he told her, his voice cracking just barely enough that she could catch the emotion seeping through. He wiped away the continuing tears with his thumb before kissing her forehead again.

She nodded her head. "Me, too. And I'm happy you showed up right now."

"Why wouldn't I?" he asked her, thoroughly confused by her comment.

"You weren't talking to me this morning," she reminded him.

"Because I'm an idiot," he stated.

"And I'm stubborn and won't listen to you," she shrugged her shoulders.

"We make quite a pair, don't we?" he chuckled.

"We're still a pair?" she asked. She assumed they would be okay since he had come to the hospital, but she didn't know for sure how he felt.

A smile spread across his face, though his eyes still showed worry. "You're not getting rid of me that easily," he told her. He grabbed a hold of her uninjured hand before suddenly noticing the cast on her other one. "Oh fuck, how hurt are you?"

"A little banged up," she began before she saw the look on his face and knew she better just give him all the facts. "I honestly don’t know what all is wrong with me," she admitted. " I know I broke my wrist and did something to my knee. It's all wrapped up, too," she said, moving the blankets so he could see her knee, as well as her leg which was all cut up. "I blacked out for a little bit during everything," she admitted.

"Fuck," Tyler muttered lowly. "Is your head okay?"

"I remember you," she joked. "I'm okay, I just hurt a little," she shrugged off how bad she truly was feeling.

"On the phone…you told me you needed me," he brought up the words she had never said before to anyone. She stared at him for a moment, not saying anything. "Is that true, or is that your head injury talking?" he asked, only half jokingly.

She inhaled deeply, squeezing his hand she was holding a little tighter. "I need you, Tyler."

He leaned over and gave her a good kiss on the lips. "Good, because you're not getting away from me. I need you, too. And don't you ever fucking terrify me like that again." She knew he had been scared and wasn't sure there was much else in the world that scared Tyler Seguin.

"Can you text Shea and Alex and tell them my room number?" she requested, and he nodded his head.

She heard him get a response from them almost instantaneously. "They're on their way," he said, putting his phone back in his pocket. "Want me to leave so you three can talk about whatever you do in your group text?" he asked with a chuckle.

"Not a chance I want you to leave," she told him as the doctor that was treating her came in the room.

"Savannah," he said with a smile on his face. "Good to see you awake finally. I'm Dr. Carter, your attending physician," he introduced himself to both Savannah and Tyler.

"Tyler, her boyfriend," Tyler spoke as he shook the doctor's hand.

"Nice to meet you," Dr. Carter replied. "So, do you remember what happened?"

Savannah shrugged. "A little bit. What all damage did I do to myself?" she asked, lifting up her casted wrist.

"Well, as you can see, you broke your wrist. You'll have to have that cast on for two weeks and then follow up with a wrist surgeon to make sure everything is healing properly and you won't need surgery," he began, and Savannah's breath caught, hearing she might need surgery. Tyler eased her fears with just a brush of his thumb across her hand, letting her know it would be okay. "You also sprained your knee. You're in a brace right now but we'll see how you walk to determine if you need crutches or a wheelchair with your broken wrist," he continued.

"And her head? She said that she blacked out," Tyler said.

"We did a CT scan and MRI on her brain, all looked good on that end," Dr. Carter told them. "Again, follow up with your doctor at home on that."

"When do I get out of here?" Savannah asked.

"Soon," Dr. Carter told her. "We're just waiting on a couple more things, and then the nurse will come in with the discharge papers," he said.

Savannah smiled, happy at that news. "Thank you," she told him sincerely.

"Of course. Do you have any other questions?" She shook her head. "A nurse should be in soon. You're lucky, Savannah, overall you're doing pretty well."

"Thank you," she repeated, as Dr. Carter walked out.

"Thank God," Tyler inhaled.

She looked over at him. "Know any good docs?" she asked him. Apparently she was going to be seeing a lot of them coming up.

"I'll ask Mike," he said, speaking of the team's athletic trainer. Savannah had no doubt that Tyler would insure she went to the best specialists in town.

"Thank you again. For everything. For being here," she told him softly.

"Thank you for not getting yourself killed," he replied, leaning his forehead against hers gently.

"Are we interrupting?" Shea's voice rang out, and Tyler moved aside so Savannah could see her sister, along with Alex, Audrey, and Jamie all standing in the doorway. Savannah really did have a good support system around her.

"Come on in," Savannah said with a smile as the group packed into the small space. Savannah was surprised that the hospital staff allowed all of them in, but then she assumed Jamie probably worked some of his Stars magic on them to get through.

Tyler started to move aside to let Alex and Shea next to Savannah, but Savannah tightened her grip on his hand, not letting him go far from her at all. Alex and Shea seemed to understand and both went to the other side of her bed, each giving her a hug.

"I don't think I've ever seen Segs move as fast as he did when you called," Shea teased, but smiled at Tyler. "I take it everything is okay?"

Savannah nodded her head. She held up her left wrist with the cast on it. "Guess I'm not going to be going on any more missions anytime soon."

"But you caught the guys, right?" Alex asked.

"Yeah, they're behind bars finally."

"You scared us," Shea told her.

"Not the first time, and it won't be the last." She didn't dare glance up to see Tyler's reaction. She knew he wasn't happy with her job, and she really didn't want to get into a fight with him right now.

"Next time you're just coming straight home. No going to the hospital bullshit," Tyler spoke, and the group chuckled.

"When do you get to go home?" Shea asked.

"They said soon. I have to follow up with a couple docs for my injuries later on."

"I'm sure we can get you in to whoever you need, right, Segs?" Jamie offered, and Tyler nodded his head in agreement.

"Thanks, guys," Savannah told them.

"So who's home are you going home to? You know damn sure I'm not letting you go home alone," Shea told her, ready to fight her stubborn sister who was bound to tell her she was fine going back to her place by herself.

"Uh, I was hoping to just go home with Ty," Savannah said softly.

All eyes were on Tyler for his response. "Like you thought I'd let her go anywhere else," he rolled his eyes dramatically.

Shea laughed. "Take good care of her."

"Please, he's not going to let her out of his sight," Alex told her.

"Well, you know she's stubborn as hell," Shea added.

"Guys! I'm right here!" Savannah exclaimed. She then looked up at Tyler. "See, this is usually how we're texting," she informed him.

He laughed. "I just assumed it was how much better looking I am than Benn," he joked, as Jamie rolled his eyes next to Alex.

"Actually we've all agreed that Audrey is the best looking other half," Savannah revealed.

"Can't argue with that," Jamie shrugged.

"No we can't," Tyler agreed.

The nurse walked in, beginning to kick people out so she could go over the discharge papers with Savannah. Even Jamie's charm couldn't allow them all to stay, so Savannah said goodbye to everyone but Tyler, who she wouldn't let go of. The nurse agreed to let him stay, and went over the instructions with both of them.

After unhooking all the cords from Savannah and helping her dress, the nurse finally released her. "Ready to head home?" Tyler asked her.

"Let's go home and see the dogs," she agreed.
