Kris arrived at the hospital to have his MRI done. He signs in and gets registerd. He then sits in the waiting room waiting to be called back.
20 minutes later a tech comes to the door.
"Mr. Letang they are ready for you." He says.
Kris walks to the door and the tech leads him back to a chaging room.
"Put on a gown and make sure you have nothing metal on." The tech says.
He cloes the door. Kris locks it and changes out of his shirt putting the gown on. He left his shorts on under it. He took off his necklace and tucked it into his shirt. He then comes out and places it into the locker. The tech hands him a lock to put on the locker.
"After your test I will unlock it for you." The tech says.
He then leads Kris back to the MRI room. Kris gets on the table and the tech puts the apron over his chest and around his neck.
He hands Kris headphones so that he could listen to music while the test was being performed.
The tech leaves the room and goes to start the test. Kris slides into the machine and the test starts. The music helps keep his mind off everything else.
A few minutes later he was sliding out of the machine. He took the headphones off as the tech comes back in.
"That went well. I will send the scans to Dr. Grey and she will go over them with you." The tech says.
"Thanks. Yeah I am heading to her after I get done here." Kris says.
"Good Dr. Grey is the best she is helping me with my Migraines so I know she will help you with your issues." The tech says unlocking the locker for him. Kris grabs his shirt and heads to change. After he changes and leaves to walk to his truck. He gets in and heads towards the training facility. He walks up to where the offices were and checks in with the assistant.
"I am here to see Dr. Grey." Kris says to her.
"Okay have a seat and I will let Dr. Grey know you are here." She says to him.
Kris sits in the small waiting area. He picks up a magazine and starts to read it. A few minutes later the assistant walks over to him.
"Dr. Grey will see you now." She says.
"Thanks." Kris asks.
The assistant leads him down the hall to her office.
"Would you like anything to drink or anything?" The assistant asks.
"No I am fine thanks." Kris replies.
"Okay." She says leaving.
"Come in Mr. Letang, I will be with you in one minute just have to finish this one thing." Dr. Grey says as she was typing on her computer with her back to him.
He noticed she had long brown hair and was wearing pink scrubs.
"Take your time." Kris says.
Not even a minute later she turns around facing him. Kris was shocked to see how young she was and beautiful. He normally went for blondes but there was something about her.
"Okay Mr. Letang I just looked over your MRI." She says.
"Please call me Kris. And how bad is it?" Kris asks.
"Well you have a slight herniated disc. However right not it don't look to bad." She says.
"Do I need surgery?" Kris asks,
"Not right now. I think we might be able to manage it with rehab and massage therapy." She says.
"Okay I can handle that." Kris says.
"But if it isn't any better please you have to tell us. We have to keep a close eye on this." She says.
"I know and I will." Kris says.
"Good. And you are in luck because not only am I a neuro srugeon but I am also a personal trainer and massage therapist." She says.
"Will you be the one who will be working with me?" Kris asks hoping she was.
"I most certainly will be your doctor looking after your injury but if you would rather work with one of the other personal trainers you are free to do so. You also don't have to have the massage therapy here either you can go wherever you feel comfortable." She says.
"I would like one person for everything and since you can offer me that I will take it." Kris says smiling.
"Good I want to help you in anyway I can. But we better get to know each other because after today we are going to be spending a pretty decent amount together." She says.
"Well what time do you get off work?" Kris asks.
"5 o clock from here but then I have to go to my other office for a bit. So I should be done around 7:30 or 8. Why?" She asks.
"Maybe we can get to know each other better over a nice meal?" Kris asks.
"Usually I don't go to dinner with my patients however, since like I said you and I will be spending lots of time together I guess I will make an exception." She says.
"Okay where do you want to eat?" Kris asks.
"Let's meet at the Olive Garden say 9:00. That will give me time to shower and change." She says.
"Sounds like a plan. So I will meet you at the Olive Garden at 9. " Kris says.
"See you then." She says as Kris starts to get up.
"Thanks again Dr. Grey. I am looking forward to working with you and getting this injury healed." Kris says getting up going to leave.
"Kristopher one thing." She says.
"Yeah." Kris says stopping turning to face her again.
"Please call me Madison." Madison says.
"Only if you call me Kris or Tanger like everyone else." Kris says.
"See you tonight Kristopher." Madison says.
"Yes see you tonight Madison." Kris says.

He leaves and heads to his truck with a smile on his face. Maybe he could flirt a little with Maddie while she worked with him to heal his injury. It had been a few months since his divorce was finalized and he was ready to get back into the game.

Madison couldn't believe she agreed to meet him for dinner. She never formed a personal relationship with a patient. But there was something different about him. She felt it as soon as she turned around and saw him. She really felt she could help him. She prayed her training and massage therapy would help him without surgery. However if the injury got worse she could help him with the surgery and the recovery if needed.

She finished up what she had to do at that office before heading to the next.
