Wake Me Up

Chapter 7

"Are you sure about this?" Jackie asked anxiously, pulling on her hair. It was the next day and they were getting ready to leave for the date.
"Im positive. This will work fine. Just as long as you don't get caught."
"Real great advice."
"I know right?" Hannah added on the final touches to her makeup and when she was all done she turned to face Jackie. "How do I look?" Hannah had on a strapless pink dress that was skin right. She wore pink blush and put on bright pink lipstick to match her dress. She had also redid her nails in a pretty pink as well. She had her hair in a gorgeous French braid.

"Gorgeous as usual," Jackie said. Jackie looked at herself in the mirror and frowned. She didn't look anything like Hannah did. Jackie wore a simple outfit.

She had on skinny jeans tucked into combat boots and she had on a plain black V neck shirt. She had put a little bit of makeup on, like mascara and some eyeliner, but thats where she stopped. She had just straightened her hair for the "occasion."

Hannah had frowned upon the outfit, saying it was to casual, but Jackie waved off her comment. She liked her sense of style and didn't want to change it. Even if it was for Jonathan Toews.

"Okay, here's the chip that I will be putting in my ear, and here is your little microphone that you will be talking through," Hannah explained, giving Jackie the gear.

"You know I don't like this," Jackie said, doing a sigh.
"You don't like anything besides hockey," Hannah stated. This, was true.
"Now I really hope that what your telling me is going to be correct information cause if it's not, ill hate you." Jackie rolled her eyes.
"I probably know more than Jonathan, you'll have him thinking that your a hockey genius by the end of the night." Hannah beamed.
"Perfect."

When they arrived at the restaurant Jackie was forced to hide in the plants.
"Why do I have to? Why can't I just get a table?" She whined, crouching down.
"Because, if Jonathan hears me asking for a table by you he will know something's up." Jackie began to protest more but shut up quickly when she saw the next person that walked in.

There he was. Jonathan. He was wearing a black suit and wearing Italian loafers. His hair was the same as usual and his eyes just as brown. Jackie could feel herself getting dizzy from just looking at him.

"Hey babe," he said brightly, walking over to Hannah and giving her a quick peck on the cheek. Jackie wanted to barf.
The hostess asked if they would like a private table but they turned her down. Instead Hannah suggested that they just take a booth.
"I love how you don't care about being seen in public or the paparazzi," Jonathan crooned, as they walked to their table.
"What can I say, I am just that generous," Hannah giggled.

When Jackie was sure the coast was clear, she popped out from behind the plants and waited for the hostess to come back. When she did Jackie asked quickly, "Can I have a table by the window? I like window tables." The hostess gave her a questioning look but then shrugged.
"Whatever floats your boat." She walked Jackie to a table that was three tables away from Hannah's. Perfect.
"Here is your menu, your waiter will be with you shortly." Jackie thanked her and then when she had walked away, she casually turned on her microphone. She heard Jonathan's voice comment on the bread sticks here. As Jackie say there waiting for the hockey talk to start she realized something.

Both Hannah and Jonathan only said a few words every minute or so. Maybe just maybe, things wouldn't work out for them.

"So have you ever been to a Blackhawks game before?" Jonathan asked Hannah. Here it comes, Jackie thought.
"Who are the Blackhawks?" Hannah asked, looking confused. Jackie wanted to get up and slap her right across the face. Luckily Jonathan thought she was acting.
"Your funny you know that?" He said, chuckling. Hannah laughed along with him but Jackie could tell she was nervous.
"The hockey team he is the captain for you dumbass," Jackie hissed into the mic. She saw the realization sweep quickly past Hannah's eyes.
"Oh right! Your team duh! And no, I haven been to a single game," Hannah said, acting like she was sad about it. Jackie scowled. The only thing more fake than Hannah right now was a Barbie.

The rest of the date had went on like this. Hannah pretending she didn't know what he was talking about, and then Jackie would swoop in and make the save.
By the end of the night, Jonathan was convinced Hannah was a hockey nerd. Jackie quickly paid her bill and then got up to go to the bathroom. She figured she would have enough time to do that, since Jonathan and Hannah had to say their mushy goodbye. As Jackie walked into a stall, she heard a bunch of ladies in their thirties gossiping.

"Did you see that girl he was with? Absolutely stunning! He is one lucky girl." Jackie made a face through the stall as she began to pee.
"The lucky girl, I mean gosh, I bet they do it every night those two!" Gross.
"I just hope he doesn't end up with some trashy girl that isn't pretty, I would hate to see his looks go to waste on some ugly girl." Jackie's jaw dropped. How dare those ladies say that! Jackie quickly did her business and walked out to wash her hands. As she washed them, the bitchy ladies were silent. All Jackie wanted was to get the hell out of there. she quickly dried her hands and pushed open the door.

Thump!
"Oh!" Jackie cried out, as she knocked into someone, causing her to fall over.
"I'm so sorry! I wasn't looking where I was going!" The man she bumped into exclaimed, trying to help her up.
"I'm fine really. . ." Jackie began, getting to her feet on her own.
when she looked at the man who knocked her down she almost let out a gasp.
Staring at her, with a look of concern on his hot face, was Jonathan.
"Im fine, really, thank you Jonathan," Jackie repeated, only this time using his name.
"So you do know who I am? How about I make it up to you with an autograph?" He asked, smirking.
"Nah Im good," Jackie said, surprising herself. She watched his grin falter.
"Are you alright in the head?" He asked. Jackie did a chuckle.
"I am, now if you don't mind I would really like to get a move on now." With the final word, Jackie sauntered away, thinking about how good Jonathan's physique looked in that suit.

aww.. So happy her and her team whipped it out in the championship and that someone was there to stop the a holes at the bar
really great. Loved that she checked Pat. I honestly would love a story where they didn't necessarily play him off as an ass once he gets in a relationship. Everyone makes bad decisions where he is in his life his is just more publicized. Of course I have never met him or would actually know him more than face value so he always could be an A hole.. who knows...

Anyway great story keep it up
Please post soon :) I'm having withdrawal symptoms from not reading your stuff.
