Summary
Seventeen year-old Gia Phillips never thought that she was able to ever see a Pens game. Her mother thought the sport was to violent and for men only. Gia is the number one on her school's hockey team and the only girl. But a competition that she gets entered in changes her even more when she wins and finds out that person who wins gets to play with her favorite team. Sidney Crosby the captain, falls for her even more.
But when it's game night, she gets a call saying her mother is in the hospital and that she's dying. Putting her dream on hold she goes to her with her mother saying in her last words. "Win your first Stanley Cup baby. Don't be a coach be the player." Now with nowhere to go Sidney steps in and takes her in. Holding a special place in his heart.
