Haunting Hallucinations

Tyler Seguin Gets Captured By Jo

Jo’s POV

I stared at my TV, as I watched with absolute pleasure as Val and Nathan drop the gloves and fight. The announcer seemed bewildered, but I knew what was going on. What was happening to them. I had my fingers all over this. It was because of my brilliance that the two were going at one another’s throats. And I was secretly rooting on the Russian. I wanted Nathan to pay. I felt like I was in control and they were my “toys.” This was great!

I watched the Russian and Canadian go at one another, with weak and pathetic attempts. Neither could fight that was for sure and I screamed in fury at my television, as the stupid refs and their teammates halted the bickering.

“Fuck! They were going to tear one another open! Dammit!” I knew that was a lie. They couldn’t fight, let alone injure one another. Nope.

I watched as both were shoved down the tunnels and forced to exit the game. I rubbed my hands together wickedly.

“Good, good. Ha-ha. Try to continue on with your precious season and career now, Nathan MacKinnon. Try to live with the fact that you almost hurt an innocent little Russian boy!”

I turned the game off, knowing that it was now pointless. And at that moment, something inside of me snapped. I had had my fun with watching my arch-rival hallucinate and have issues galore, but somehow, he was still carrying on and he was still scoring goals. The only way that I could put an end to Nathan MacKinnon for good, was to kill him. I had to end the Avalanche player once and for all.

And I was seriously considering murder.

I received word that “Kinny” and “Nichy” were in the psychologist place just as I had planned and I journeyed to Dallas to terrorize them, however I got a little sidetracked...stumbling across the nosy Tyler Seguin and well...I couldn’t let him get in my way.

Tyler’s POV (But not first person)

Tyler scrambled back to his feet and brushed himself off. “Sorry.” He found the other man was shaking his head and getting back to his feet. He had on a black hoodie and a pair of jeans. He looked like a thug, but then again some could say the same about him with his tattoos.

“It’s alright.”

“Can I sign something for you?”

The man laughed. “Nah. I don’t want anything signed. I’m not a Stars fan.”

“Oh, Avalanche fan?”

“Nah.”

“Well, what are you doing here then?”

“I was visiting with a friend. My name is Jonathan Drouin.” He stuck his hand out and smiled.

Tyler’s grin vanished and he took a step back.

“Is there a problem, Mr. Seguin?” the man asked, his smile twisting darkly on his face.

Tyler took two more steps backward, his heart pounding in his chest. He was trying not to lose his cool. But if Jonathan Drouin was here “visiting a friend,” that wasn’t necessarily a good thing. In fact, the presence of the man and his sketchiness added to Tyler’s skepticism of Jo’s guiltiness. “Uh, no. Um, I have to go.”

“To see Jamie Benn and Gabriel Landeskog?” he questioned. “I don’t think so. No, you’re coming with me!”

How did he know? What was going on here?

Before Tyler could run for it, Jo seized his wrist and pulled him after him. He quickly darted across the lobby to an open room and shoved Tyler inside. Then he closed the door and locked it at once.

Tyler caught himself from stumbling over his feet and faced the evil man. “You--you did it! You poisoned Val! Why?”

“He was an accident, Tyler. I was aiming for Nathan MacKinnon and his stupid face!” the Tampa Bay rookie stated, rounding Tyler, who stood in the center of the dimly lit room, like a shark. “That Av is always praised and revered! ‘The next Sidney Crosby’ they say...and what happens to little Jonathan Drouin? He gets mocked and scorned and dissed! He is second best and not as good as the better Nathan MacKinnon! The Razor, as they call him!”

“But, you should only want to care about your team and helping them out.”

“Oh ho, look at the mighty maturing Tyler Seguin teaching me what’s right and proper!” He paused in place and teased Tyler, by caressing his cheek with his hand. He could feel the young superstar freezing in place with an uncomfortable sense.

Then Jo continued to pace in a circle around the Dallas Star, who was starting to panic.

“Listen, I don’t know what happened, but please let me go or I’ll be forced to fight you and possibly hurt you…”

“You, fight? Ha! Don’t be a fool, Seguin!”

“Drouin, don’t make a mistake!”

Jo snickered and suddenly made a rapid move, as he shoved Tyler backward into a chair at the back of the room. Then before the young Star could move, the rookie forward for the Lightning bound him to the chair.

He wrapped one strand of rope around Tyler’s upper arms and chest and pasted him to the back of the chair. He wrapped another around each of his wrists, attaching them to the arms of the chairs. Then he bound his ankles to the legs of the chair. All the while, the Dallas Star fidgeted and pulled desperately, attempting to break free.

His helpless grunts of distress slowly grew in pitch, until he was screaming at the top of his lungs. “Let me go!! Dammit, I’ll tell them its you! They’ll find out anyway!”

“But when they do, it’ll be too late! This is what you get for being a nosy little Star!”

Tyler jerked at the ropes holding him down. “What--?”

“Let me tell you something Tyler, I wasn’t going to kill Nathan at first...but now...I think I want to and I’m going to hurt the little Russian too. He was a casualty, but they are calling him the next Malkin or Ovechkin...so that’s not so good for my reputation either.”

“Don’t you dare harm Val!” Tyler growled.

“What are you going to do about it, Tyler dear?” Jo leaned forward, smirking his twisted miscreant grin. “You can’t move; you’re bound to a chair.”

“I can scream. HEY! SOMEONE HELP ME!!!! HELP!! IT’S TYLER----!” Jo slapped a hand over his mouth and shook his head.

“You really don’t think I haven’t already thought about you screaming your head off? That’s why I scouted it out and picked this room. See I knew there was a ton of rope in here...but also...there was some other items as well, such as this lovely chair...oh and...tape!”

Tyler muffled some kind of comment into Jo’s hand. Apparently the rookie had already torn off a piece of the tape and had gotten it ready, by dangling it from the edge of a table. He kept his hand in place and round the chair. Tyler could hear him yank the rectangular strip from its place.

“Now, Tyler, something else I want to tell you is that I’ll make sure to let your little liney know how simple it was to capture you and have a distraction, while I slit both of their throats as soon as they are released from the hospital! I know they are and I know I’ll be the first to get to them, thanks to you!”

With that he slid his hand away and Tyler screamed his lungs out, before the evil Lightning player placed the tape over his mouth to mute his screams. He propped the Star’s head back and then placed two more pieces on top of the first one, so that they remained in place. Then he let go and patted Tyler’s cheek.

Tyler muffled his anger and displeasure and glared at the Lightning player, as he rounded the other side of the chair and came back into view.

“Oh, come on, Seguin, don’t look at me like that...you know you saw this coming. Now, I have to go kill a couple of “innocent” sophomores, a Canadian and a Russian!”

Jo covered Tyler with a blanket that was in the room to hide and muffle the Dallas Star’s helpless screams even more, darted to the door, turned the light off and then slipped out of the room, snickering to himself. He made sure to bolt the door shut, so that it would add to the time he would have.

And as Tyler sat in the darkness, desperately jerking at the ropes and trying to get free, he found himself wondering, how could Jamie and Gabriel find him now?

Notes

Oh no, Seguin's in trouble again!! Uh oh...how's he gonna get himself outta this one, eh?

I get what you mean, and it isn't harsh. Not at all. I like this feedback. I'd rather receive this type of "feedback" then none. I like it when people point something out that I need to change. ;) Thank you and I went ahead and changed it a little, so feel free to check it out and see if it works now. I didn't like Landy jumping to the conclusion of Jo, so I instead tweaked the conversation. See if it works? :P
Iggy doing drugs is Jo's "excuse".

@EvelynaKitty
Well, I said that because it can be like the first thing and the reader can be like confused at what was happening, but then when they read that Jo is mad at Nathan and Nathan and Val find out why they are hallucinating, then the reader can be like, "OHHH!!! That's was what the beginning was about! Jo being evil! I get it!" But if you don't want to do that (which I totally understand why), you can not let Nathan and Val know why they are hallucinating until like after they are done with their therapy sessions. It just doesn't make sense for them to just all of a sudden find out right after that scene of Jo being evil and then they just randomly go to a mental hospital place because they've been practically drugged. They should go to that place because they think that they have mental issues--they shouldn't be going there if they know that it's not their fault that they have hallucinations, it's just the drug's fault. And the hallucinations should've worn off if they only drank the water with the drug by now...
Sorry if this sounds harsh :P Just trying to help you out! :)
But what would be the purpose of Iggy taking drugs?

@A Shruinger
Well, why do you think that it would make more sense to have it be at the beginning of the story? And I get what you mean about them finding out though...but I'm not quite sure how else to do that part? I did re-read it and I am currently trying to fix the "quickness" or it. I don't like it, but what about Iggy doing drugs?? :P

Wow, I would've knew had guessed that Jo was the reason why they were having hallucinations. But I think that for suspense that you should've put Jo's part of him being evil at the WAAAY beginning of this story. It seemed like Jo's part and the figuring out of the reason behind the hallucinations was just way too easy for the characters and that they should've figure out the reason behind the hallucinations after they go to the mental hospital thing... Just my thoughts, so yea :) But nice reason why they were having hallucinations ;)
