Elizabeth Bennett, Philadelphia native and sportscaster, has moved out to Chicago in order to pursue her dream of covering international news. Fortunately, she is not alone in the windy city, thanks to her close friends Patrick Kane and Nick Wright (not real), forwards for the Chicago Blackhawks. Even her best friend Logan Wright 'pops in' for a 'visit' once she's settled. However, being close with the two hockey players brings her in close proximity of her big crush, Jon Toews. This might not be a distraction for her if Jon didn't give off the feeling that he completely hates her. Elizabeth attempts to climb the ladder in her new workplace, help her friend get on her feet, be a good friend to all, and get on the good side of Mr. Toews.
